What's your best and worst thing to Happen in the history of gaming ?

Worst: Crash of the market when Atari revealed to the world how much they sucked.

Best: Super Mario Bros. saves the market. Or maybe the release of Ocarina of Time.

I was going to say exactly the same thing but I'm glad that you beat me to the punch. I was a bit worried that no one was mentioning the video-game crash, surely that would have to be the worst thing to happen to gaming by far?

I would sure say so, but it's possible a lot of people don't know about the crash. It did happen a long time ago now.

I'm probably wrong in saying it, but Halo was the first i saw of the whole "omg grafix and blood, this is the best game ever" thing.
Also an example of Microsoft hyping a game way out of proportion.

The Best: Games, in more than 2 colors

The Worst: The loss of in-room multiplayer on the same screen. Just when TVs are finally getting big enough for two players to play on and SEE clearly... the Via Internet multiplayer takes away the joy of having the guy next to you to punch in the arm during the middle of a game for "sniping" you with a rocket launcher.
