That's WAY too broad for me, since I love lots of games. The least I can do is break it down by console like EmeraldRafael did:

I didn't include SNES, Xbox, or 360 because I couldn't really decide among the many awesome games. I never owned a playstation, either.

I'll say Fallout 3, though I can't say I have played a perfect game before. I don't have a very long list of games I've played, so I like to think that if I give it time, I'll be able to find my best game ever.
(Though, if my memory serves me, Zelda: Wind Waker was pretty freakin' awesome.)

Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness.

My god, I loved that game.

And Doom 2, running the fuck away from Cyberdemons as they chase your marine ass down a hallway... classic.

Has anybody said Left 4 Dead, I know it's not excellent but lots of people seem to like playing it. It's not my choice, one of my earlier posts says that.

TIE Fighter. Any game where you can spend 25 straight minutes losing the first level and loving every second of it has to be the be all end all of videogames.

I'm going to remind people that Crysis was a game and an excellent one at that look at post 110 and read that for the rest of the post
