I'm disappointed with gaming in general because most games aren't fun and the ones that are are to short and don't get decent sequels.(Sonic Adventure 1=good|Sonic Adventure 2=bad)

Wha...? That doesn't make any sort of sense whatsoever.
Whatever. I just don't think the CoD series is milking anything.
I'll just shut up about it.

Day of the tentacle was a class game :D
Freezing a hampster in a cool box so your mate somewhere in the future could find it and thaw it out to power things.....
Who'd think that up?

I regret buying Assassins Creed.....
Really regret....
The worst part being, it's dropped so much in value, i have to pay to trade it in.....
Just kidding.

First off - barely any games for the Playstation 3. I have Metal Gear Solid 4. That's the only game I wanted. I have nothing else for the PS3. Nothing. I don't want heavenly sword, I don't want Haze, I don't really want anything else for it. Please, release more games!

Lack of Final Fantasy XIII. There's barely been anything about it.

All valve games in general, you promise so much and return so little, even though the games still rule. WHY DOES IT TAKE YOU 4 YEARS TO RELEASE A GAME THAT A MODDER COULD MAKE IN A MONTH!

This entire generation has been lacklustre so far when it comes to the home consoles. Only a few games have me mildly interested (Metal Gear Solid 4, Devil May Cry 4 and some others), and these games I can do without. Until Atlus blows me away with another Shin Megami Tensei game on the PS3, I'm skipping this generation. The titles being announced and the titles that are out, just don't seem worth it. This is just my opinion.

The lack of ball grabbing fight cutscenes

MGS4 gave me a decent, pleasurable fix, but by jove i need to see some blood spilled!

- Hellgate : London : did you already hear that everyone at Flagship Studios and Ping0 got fired ? That says enough about this horrible game.

- Turok : I am huge fan of the original and first Turok. This one turned out to be yet another dumb console shooter, badly ported to the PC as late as possible.

And my conclusion : everything now is about dumb console shooter ! Just look at any news page that covers the E3 : OMGOMG gears 2 !! OMFG OMFG resistance 2 !!1 olololol killzone 2 1!1 yayayay COD5 !?!?!!

GOD DAMN IT, FUCK THIS !

Doesnt it get old anyhow ? How much more glorified mediocrity do we need ? How uninspired can the whole industry and fandom be ?

Assassins Creed, one of the best possible twist storylines ever, screwed up because the marketers got overexcited. Imagine playing as Altair all through the game, only to realize that you're really his descendant trapped in a freaking memory machine. That would have been intense.

They should have lessened the memory glitches, and made them rare, they should have made the monologues of the dying guys more general and a lot shorter so that when you did find out the twist ending, you'd be all:

"Oh.... It all makes sense now."

Instead you knew you were Desmond from the start. Great freaking job Ubisoft.
In my opinion it's good the way it is. I absolutely HATE WTF endings. It's like playing MGS games only to figure out it was VR missions done by Raiden all along. It really cheapens the conflicts of the story. The whole idea of the game was to show that during the past (Altair), present (you), and future (Desmond), nothing has changed in the conflict in the Mid-East.

Of course it's your opinion, so I'm not going to start a fight over it.
Well that's no way to act towards a good old bit of fisticuffs! Queensbury rules?

Assassin's Creed - such a wasted oppourtunity.
I didn't enjoy Sam and Max as much as I once did either...
And Turok - to see a franchise I loved as a kid raped like this is pretty hurtful.

Uh, Need For Speed ProStreet? What a lump of crap. At least the rumor is that EA knows it too... They are going back to what made the series popular... Illegal street racing with police chasing you and indestructible cars... awesome.
Adding cops in was the WORST idea since the chocolate teapot.
Seriously.
I want another NFSU1.
Best game in the series IMO. NFSU2 was pretty cool too.

Also, I was incredibly disappointed with MGS4. I know every hardcore MGS fan will hunt me down and give me a Guantanamo bay-esque beating, but I was solemnly hurt by it. It's NOTHING like any of the other games, the stealth is a pile shit on toast with Gay and Perrins Wankershire sauce, the gunplay was barely any better than previously, although a crosshair was also a bullet in the series' uniqueness. This is only made up for by the fact that the online play is FUCKING AWESOME! But even then, only when the Drebin points system is active.

Also, the notes on Rockband. Cocking squares!? And the hammer-ons, smaller cocking squares?!
also, those extra two TINY fast notes in the verse of paranoid infuriate me. Anyone who's attained 5* on GH3 on this song will understand.

My biggest dissapointment? Most of this generation. Still play my last and even my LAST last generation games on ps2 and xbox
Also agreed, since my Xbox 360 did the classic "Ho shit I'm an under-developed-time-and-money-saving-upgrade-of-the-original" and promptly DIED on me and is now gathering dust.
I find i loved PS1 games a lot more. PS2 games too. Rarely a good game out now because everyone seems to be copying someone, or heavily trying to outdo someone. It's insanity!
I like original games, everything now is a copy bar like 1 game that comes out every so often.

Another way of putting it would be, pardon my crassness, 'fucking retarded'. The story was already mind numbingly stupid. Adding a 'But it was only a dream...' ending on top of it would be the height of bad writing.

Mine would be Bioshock. I still begrudgingly enjoyed the game, but since I had played System Shock 2 when it was new, all the stuff they cut out of the gameplay coupled with the lack of real choices in building your character and the total lack of difficulty and therefor scares was a huge disappointment. It really was 'dumbed down for the console tards'.

devil may cry 4 can be done in like 3 hours,
3 hours? You're doing something wrong then.

My biggest dissappointment is that there isn't going to be a Hitman 5 anytime soon. I won't be surprised if Legendary turns out to be crap.

Crysis. Seriously, so much physics, so much graphics, so much cryo suit, and all you can think off is a story based around KOREANS!!! And don't forget the ALIENS!!! And the lack of being able to take cover!!! And the fact that only two modes of your suit are generaly usefull!!! And how the AI is still surpassed by the one of FEAR!!! And how scrypted some of the physics are!!!

I should probably stop right now.

Also, Gothic 3 nearly reduced me to tears because it has so INCREDIBLY much going for it. If they just would have fixed some more bugs, just put a little more effort in the combat, it would have been... perfect. Realy, that would be my view of a perfect game.

And the fact that all the inovation can't hide it's boringness!!! And how you spent so much money on an engine but don't give a peny for real gun names!!! And how the whole five minutes of multiplayer experience I had sucked ass!!! And how much better CoD 4 is!!!

My biggest dissapointment was Assassin's Creed, and the second Half of Crysis.

Long story short with Assassin's Creed, it was the climbing that was fun, but everything else was a promise that ubisoft snapped in half.

I'll second Gears and GTA:IV. Gears disappointed me after all the hype, and my disc died which didn't help haha. GTA:IV was amazing, but after about 2 weeks I took it out of my Xbox and it hasn't been back in...
same here on the GTA4. played it obsessively compulsively til i completed the single player. then looked around and thought. well what do i do now? it traded the lack of realism and the fun of the previous gta for grittyness and this made it serious faces time while you decided to pop that fella in the face...or not. and it was the clowning around and self-mocking side that keep the other gta's fresh and fun after the 10th time you flew a jet around blowing chunks out of the ballas terrority.
