That there is no evidence whatso ever for The Big Bang THEORY, and the only reason it exists is the fact that people will do anything to avoid the thought that their sin will send them to hell.
Thanks, I was actually a little worried about this post. I know how tetchy people can get about Israel.letterbomber223 said:The sad thing is that somewhere this opinion IS considered 'controversial' instead of 'common effing sense'.
I applaud you, but no post is complete without trolling, so:
It's 'they're country', fag.
Agreed. I also get the feeling that the assassins of the latest generation would probably end up cobbling together hidden blades... and then never use it, because modern assassination comes down more to espionage, poisoning and faking accidents* and whatnot.letterbomber223 said:Ooh I have a new one.
Assasination is a far more civilized way to solve problems than war. And governments should use it more often.
Hells yes!letterbomber223 said:Marry me.boosh-boosh said:- Oh yeah, and i want to be able to smoke in bars again. Yeah, health risks, blah blah blah. We're all going to die anyway.

Also I don't like seeing homosexual acts so yes have your rights as long as they're not shoved down my throat. I find it all disgusting personally but thats just me.
The only real solution to all of this is to explicitly separate legal and religious "marriage" and use separate language for the two. Legal "marriage" then holds all legal rights associated with the institution and is not restricted by race (I always love to point out to the "marriage hasn't changed in hundreds of years" folks that it wasn't that long ago that interracial marriage was not legal in the US), sex, or orientation. Religious "marriage" is entirely up to the church performing the ceremony in question -- this ceremony confers no legal status of any kind and it is entirely up to that religious institution who they perform any ritual, ceremonial, or celebratory functions for. To mandate otherwise would be in violation of their first amendment rights.letterbomber223 said:Agree to a point. LGBT folk should be allowed to get 'married' - even if certain churches want no part of it, there shouldn't be a legal or linguistic difference between what straights do and what gays do.Harbinger_ said:I believe that homosexuals should have the same rights as people but I don't think that churches should be pushed to marry homosexuals as if its God's wish as it says in the bible that homosexuality is a sin. And I think homosexuality should avoid being shoved down people's throats only as much as heterosexuality is. Sexuality in general is overused by lazy advertisers and it seems unfair that it's always straight.
There are quite a few Christians, Muslims and other religions on here. It's just they don't mention it with every post they make, but when a topic like this comes up the athiests get unfortunately vicious.Sniper Team 4 said:I believe sex is a special, meaningful act that you should share only with the person you are married to. I get some really weird looks from people when they first ask if I'm a virgin and I say yes, then they ask why and I give them that answer.
The fact that I believe in God also seems to be rather controversial, at least on this site.
If only. Unfortunately people will always consider it when voting, so it will always be part of the equation. Hell, JFK was controversial because he was the wrong "kind" of Christian (Catholic).boosh-boosh said:- Complete separation of church and state. Yes, you can have your religious beliefs, but if we are allowed freedom of religion, then you can't run a country in accordance to certain religious beliefs/practices but not others. That'd be unfair. So, just take religion out of the equation when it come to politics.
Yes, on the converse penalties for crimes committed while under the effects of intoxicants should have their penalties driven through the roof. At that point it's not what you are doing with your body, it's what you did to someone else after being stupid enough to do such things to your own goddamned body and then engage in risky behavior.- Prostitution should be legalised. So should all drugs. People can do what they want with their goddamn bodies.
This one I'm less in agreement with. Your health risk to yourself is you own business. Your health risks to others aren't, and unfortunately smoking effects those nearby as well. There was an IHOP near where I live that had the right idea -- the smoking area was in an enclosed glass room was separate ventilation and a maintained negative pressure (so air would flow in but not out when the door was opened). This let the smokers smoke, while letting the nonsmokers not have to deal with it at all.- Oh yeah, and i want to be able to smoke in bars again. Yeah, health risks, blah blah blah. We're all going to die anyway.
