Dr. Feelgood. Much more influential on punk than people think, the pub rock scene - everyone who formed a punk band went to a Feelgoods gig. Plus they could take the Velvets and the Ramones in a fight.

'74-'77 lineup, obviously - no disrespect to Gypie Mayo but he ain't the same as our Wilko.

I'm a bit of a fan of Tenacious D myself. Might watch the Pick Of Destiny later, actually. Recommend any good comedy musicians? Tenacious D and Weird Al are obvious ones.

Hmm...

OT: I'm really liking soundtracks at the moment.
So if theres one good song you'l listen to the whole album it came with?
For the most part.

I've been listening to a song called Rasputin by Boney M for hours now. The song is so addicting!

I've been listening to a lot of Breathe Carolina and The Word Alive lately
First person I've seen who listens to The Word Alive on here. Incredible band. I've been hooked on them, Asking Alexandria, and Greeley Estates recently.
Dude Asking Alexandria kicks ass as well. I've never listened to Greely Estates, but I hear good things. I'm gonna see The Word Alive next summer at Warped :).

Drake. I realize he's not a great rapper, he's not very hood, he's not hardcore, and he's basically just a cutie-pie for college kids and stuff. But if you listen to him as an RnB artist, he really ain't bad. He's "just the right amount of dangerous", if you will. Plus the production on his music by the producer "40" is really unique, unlike anything else on the radio. Very atmospheric and moody, more Aphex Twin than Timbaland. It blows my mind that he was able to get anything on the radio sounding like he does, though none of his radio singles are produced by 40 so that's probably why. If you've heard him and like what you hear, check the lesser known tracks "9am in Dallas", and "Successful", and check out "Unforgettable", "The Resistance" and "Cece's Interlude" from the album "Thank Me Later". Great stuff, and really different.

Been listening to a lot of Cake for the last few months. Mostly their older stuff. I've also downloaded a lot of Faith No More but haven't had time to get into it yet.

Awesome. I caught the last few songs of their set when they were opening for Muse in one of their Melbourne shows; they seemed pretty cool, and I've been meaning to check them out.

As for me, I've listened to solo folk artist The Tallest Man on Earth's 2010 album "The Wild Hunt" about 10 times in the past few days. His raw, emotive, raspy and somewhat nasally voice is a throwback to Dylan, but I think Matsson is in a league of his own. The voice, in fact, took me a while to get used to, but now I am completely and utterly in love. Here's the title track from the Wild Hunt:
