1.) Neon Genesis Evangelion; soooo many levels to understand and think about it. Perfect mix of existentialism, philosophy, psychology, action, religion!
2.) Samurai Deeper Kyo (JUST THE MANGA!!!! The anime is a zillion times worse and has nothing to do with the word "good"!)

favourite anime? Most things by Miyazaki Hayao... out of his films my favourites are Porco Rosso, Laputa: The city in the sky, and Nausica of the Valley of the wind.

I'm watching GITS:SAC 2nd GIG now and really liking it but I'd say it's beaten to the punch for my favourite by Hellsing: Ultimate in 2nd place and Code Geass top of the list.

I tend to appreciate each anime differently as I watched them but Code Geass is the only one where I've sat and marathoned the whole thing for like 2 days straight just because it was that addictive.
