Favorite is Guiness from the tap(No one around here knows how to poor it though).
The ones I drink most often that I love.
Killians Irish Red and Samuel Adams(Great beers and great company, Favorites Black Lager and Boston Lager)
for a nice beer to drink

A very close second is Bushy's, a beer brewed on the Isle of Man, which has the worlds second strictest purity laws when it comes to brewing only Germans have more stringent rules.
In terms of domestic: Sam Adams. Best nationally-distributed American beer, hands down. I've always wondered if they serve it overseas in Europe, because if the only American imports you guys get are crap like Budweiser / Miller Lite, then that's just unfortunate

Living in Ontario, Canada there are almost as many Micro-Breweries as there are hockey teams. My fav is James Ready. The lager is 5.5% abv and only 28 dollars for a 24. Despite being a "buck beer" it's smooth and crisp. Every cap and label has a saying like "collect a million caps, make a hat".

Recently i went to a brewery visit in Fraserburgh (an hours drive north of Aberdeen) to the brewdog brewery and the beers they make are amazing, personal favourite is their Zeitgeist black lager but i have a few bottles of their paradox Imperial Stout. 10% and aged in whiskey barrels for several months to give it a nice smokey scotch whiskey like flavour, but it is seriously strong for a beer, Try it i say, for this is the real deal.

Pretty much any variety of Bell's beer. I am actually fortunate enough to live where it is made (Kalamazoo) and Bell's is about a mile from my house. Currently I'm enjoying the destructive powers of Hopslam which is 10% by volume. It's a really hoppy beer but I like it.

I'm sure that Americans who actually ENJOY drinking beer wouldn't claim that Budweiser is worth drinking.
