I have played FFIV, FFVI, FFVII, FFVIII, FFIX, FFX, FFX part2, FFXII (FAIL) and FFXIII. my favourite's have to be 7,8,10. Also 4 and 13 was entertaining the storyline and atmosphere was almost perfect in 7 and 10 then 8 how can you not love the gun blade.

I honestly have to say thank you for this. For years and years I have considered Necron the only flaw in FFIX. Now it all makes sense. And now I can consider it a perfect game.
No problem, always happy to help. I consider it a small mission of mine to convince as many people as possible that Final Fantasy IX is the best game of all time.

Just so's you know, I think the Final Fantasy Ultimania (basically the FF dictionary Square released) has a differennt interpretation of Necron to mine (revolving around Necron being connected to the Iifa Tree). The problem I have with their interpretation is that a) it was written after Hironoby Sakaguchi left, and without any of his input, and b) it makes no fucking sense. Though a lot of Squenix's output recently has been lacking in the common sense department. I say stick with my interpretation, and everything at the end should make sense.

As you can tell my favorite is IX. I loved all the characters, the art style really impressed me and even today I still consider You're Not Alone the best track from a video game ever.
It is an awesome piece of music, though I have to say my favourite piece from any FF game is Place Of Memory, also from IX.

It's such a moody, atmospheric piece of music, and it ties in with the aesthetics of the Memoria level better than any other level/music combo I've ever seen in a game. I might be biased though. I consider Memoria to be the greatest level in any videogame ever made. Never has a design team taken recurring symbols and motifs from throughout a videogame, and fucked around with them so well. All the little touches you see which nod back to earlier parts of the game... ah fuck, now I want to go play it again.
Same here. I'm also going to go off on my personal mission to make my friend who quit playing IX halfway through Disc 1 finally experience it as a whole.

While Tactics is my favourite, that's apparently not allowed, so I'll have to go with IX. All of my friends hate it for being "nothing like a FF game". I'm just going to assume they've only played/heard about VII, VIII, and XIII...

I loved the 'worst' FF most. My favorites are X, XII and XIII. I dunno, I could never quite enjoy the older ones.

Final Fantasy Tactics is the greatest FF of all time and I shall destroy those with a different opinion!

But seriously, FF6, FF5 and FF4 were all great. FF6 was just brilliant, FF4 was great for the time but seriously has not aged well, and FF5 had brilliant gameplay and a mediocre everything else.

I still say FF Tactics is the best, but those three are worthy of respect. The original FF is also pretty impressive for when it was made, although if you think FFs from FF6 back haven't aged well, you haven't seen ANYTHING 'till you've played the original Final Fantasy.

i dont remember the title-changes with the old 2D ones, but i know the gba remake titles. so V advance, IV advance, and i have yet to embrace VI advance and fight kefka, apparently one of the best villains ever!
