I think Bomberman 64...

Maybe Mischief Makers.

There's tons of good games on that thing.

Body harvest, hands down, no question about it finest game ever made. Not to mention it was quite obviously a precursor to GTA3 and to a lesser extent things like the first Halo and considering those two are responsible for inspiring the large majority of the games made in the 2000's I'd say that it's pretty important in the history of gaming, even if no one ever played it.

Ocarina of time was obviously fantastic. As was Mario 64. Both are probably in my top 10 games of all time.

I'm surprised to see so many people saying Perfect Dark over Goldeneye, maybe it was just my friends but I was under the impression that the rabid jerking off of Goldeneye knows no bounds. Don't let that come off as pretentious or anything, I'd be in the front row waiting to take a load in the face.

Also, don't judge me but Star Wars: Episode One Racer holds a special place in my heart.

EDIT: one more thing, I remember, first time around having a bomberman game with quite a good single player mode where you had to kick bombs under holes and stuff to solve puzzles, in 3d and everything. I recently bought bomberman hero assuming since it was a bomberman with a single player that would be it but alas it was not. I suppose the question I would ask is, 'Were Bomberman 64 and Bomberman hero the only two titles in that series on the N64 or is there another game that it could be that I remember so fondly from my childhood.

Edit 2: Remember Space station Silicone Valley? That rocked pretty hard too.

This is what I love about the 64- nobody can decide which is the best game because it just had so many brilliant titles. I can't decide either, but if I go by hours played it'd either be Mario 64 or Perfect Dark. 11 years on and those bots are still as eager to play deathmatch with me as ever!

Goldeneye. So many summer nights were spent playing multiplayer with buddies.

I try not to play it anymore as I think I would be too critical and I would inadvertently compare it to the games of today.
I compare it all the time with games of today, and apart from timesplitters and some of the UT games, nothing even comes close to being as good. Play it all you like.

I just started it for the first time the other day. Liking it a lot so far- the music is really atmospheric.

Ocarina of Time

Edit: Runner-ups are Mario 64, Bomberman 64, Goldeneye, Mario Party 2, Super Smash Bros., and Majora's Mask

This is surprisingly hard to answer. After thinking about it, my number 1 is Paper Mario, with Super Mario 64 and the Zeldas very close behind.

Hard to name just one really. The Nintendo 64 is by far the best video game console of all-time. Jet Force Gemini was easily the most underrated game, but I'll pick the one that gave me the most hours of playing time in Mario Party.

I'm tempted to say 007 Goldeneye or Zelda: OoT... but... I might have to go with Conker's Bad Fur Day. It was awesome and hilarious and everything a game should be.

Oh yeah, totally, walking through some of the underground tombs and such like is quite creepy.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask.

It was the first game I played with events playing out in the background with no player control at all, and in its simplicity it did it a lot better than Elder Scrolls, in my opinion. Each of the 3 days was well fleshed out and unwrapped nicely with each new power you gained. There was no shortage of adventures to be had.

GAH! Might as well ask me to pick a favorite child.

I guess it's a toss up between:

Banjo Tooie
Mario 64
DK 64
Mario Kart 64
Bomberman Hero
Paper Mario
Mario Party 2

I can't choose, I love them all.
