Ike. Because I liked him as a Fire Emblem protagonist, and I like playing a sword-wielding powerhouse with sudden quick attacks.
Marth (speed, aerial grace), Sonic (pure speed), and Olimar (pikmin) come in close seconds.

It's interesting, I barely notice any nerfs ('cept his sword seems shorter), but the changes to Dolphin Slash, Dancing Blade, and Shield Breaker help me a ton.ChromeAlchemist said:

I try to be decent with all the characters, by which I mean I find each character's best move, then spam it until everything dies.
But I guess I prefer Meteknight, Kirby and Ike. Metaknight because I enjoy the extra areal mobility, Kirby because I like inhaling people then walking off the edge, and Ike because you can just camp in the corner and wack anyone who comes close.
But I'm increasingly fond of Samus and her scantily clad counterpart.

Ike, Ganondorf and Lucas. Well to put it simply. Because they are OP. A few hard hits and BAM! Insta-KO. Although when I feel like a challenge you can't go past Lolimar I mean Olimar. Specifically because he is utterly retarded and you have to push yourself to even get your enemies to 10% damage.
It's incredibly boring but I'm best with Mario.

Lucas.
How can you hate Lucas? He's a timid boy that throughout the events of the game (Either Smash Bros. or Mother 3) grows up. o: Also, the Mother series is just golden to me. I love all three games...and Lucas is my favorite protagonist.

Whoa ey no lah! Olimar is frickin awesome, I dominate with him. Just keep at range and spam the pikmin chuck while they become more and more powerful, then use his smash attacks (esp. down+A) to seal the deal. Plus he's great against projectile based enemies as they usually end up bouncing off the pikmin. To be fair though, til I got used to him, I also thought he was a bit of a joke character. Oh, and I still never use his down+B rearrange thingy.Glass_House said:

Rofl fair enough. I never really put too much effort into playing him though. I kinda just stand there lopping pikmin praying for the zappy one and trying to avoid large objects that seem to be constantly hurled at me by my button mashing siblings.Scary_Bob said:

A close runner-up is Toon Link, who has all the powers of Young Link cranked up to eleven. Speed? Check. Agility? Check. Spammable bombs? Hell yeah. Cuteness? Most definitely.

Aye, his new shield breaker seems to have further reach thanks to the stab. Some don't like it but I love it. Dancing blade is definitely faster, and dolphin slash is just epic if connected right. But for all that they made his basic slashes somewhat weaker I think. I'm going to have to get friend codes soon, I'm borrowing my friend's copy because I can't find mine, but I need to test online again, to see if it's still lagging for me.NeutralDrow said:
