Currently, it has to be Game of Thrones. Really great adaption of the (excellent) books, and some cracking acting.

Oh my, yes. They're done a fantastic job of converting the books to the screen, without losing any of the depth and complexity that made them so memorable. This series deserves to go a long way; as I've said, I really hope it at least lasts three seasons, because I'd love to see some of the stuff that happens in book 3 on the screen.

And as far as the acting goes, if Peter Dinklage doesn't win awards for this, something has gone terribly wrong.

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

I know I'm not supposed to shout "First!", but... c'mon, it was obvious people were going to post it sooner or later, and quite possibly instantly!

I... I don't get it. I really don't.

I watched through about 6 minutes and it seemed like something they play for kids on TV.

Is it really really deep humor that's flying over my head or are the jokes just very subtle... and flying over my head?

I really don't have to explain anything after that. ^^

My Little Pony isn't on TV any more. The series finished, and the next series isn't out yet.

So that leaves me without a single thing to watch, as I was before MLP, but that's mainly because I just don't like TV very much. I would watch Game of Thrones but it apparently doesn't exist on English freeview TV, and I have been unable to find any watch-able version of it on the net.

I'll probably be watching this thread in order to find things to watch, and I might give Spaced a try since the OP recommended it.

Any idea if the series is coming out on dvd anytime soon?

Well for I was enjoying Stargate Universe but sadly it's over...

For now I'm just watching Mybusters and some other shows right now.

Currenty? AMC's The Killing. The show is so unbelievably well scripted and exquisitely well-acted. It is, by far, the greatest crime-drama TV series I've ever seen.

At this point, after Breaking Bad, Rubicon, The Walking Dead, and now this, AMC is quickly become the best network broadcasting today. I eagerly await Hell on Wheels this Fall.

On a side note, I'm also looking forward to the returns of Eureka, Warehouse 13, and season 4 of Fringe.

well at the moment it's Game of Thrones since pretty much every other good show is cancelled or on break between seasons. but overall out of current shows Castle. including cancelled shows as well it'd be Firefly

Currently, I'm lovin' me some Game of Thrones, with the occasional Ghost Adventures if I'm bored. I've been meaning to catch up on any new The Venture Bros. and Superjail there may be on Adult Swim.

So guys, I understand the whole My Little Pony as a meme, I watched the first three eps, and well, I like it, but I don't see what's so amazing about it. It seems way too good to be irony, but the comic timing's not perfect, the animation is fine but I've seen better, it is cute how there are trollface characters, but is that seriously a reason for it to be your favorite show on right now?
Anyway, my fave show (if we're counting those now off-air) is by far Parks and Recreation, though I love the whole NBC thursday lineup...

Personally, I adore Parks and Rec. I especially love Aziz Ansari's role in the show. For the record, Human Giant was severely under rated. What's good DJ Roomba???

Sorry to have to disappoint you here, but Hasbro has said they don't intend to release it on DVD at all.

There was some news about it on the MLP group a while ago, apparently lots of bronies were signing a petition to try to get this to change. Unless the internet petition has actually worked (highly unlikely), it seems we'll just have to stick to YouTube for on-demand ponies.
