What's your favourite cartoon?

Mine would be Futurama or Invader Zim or the old classic Simpsons, season 6 especially.

The Moomins, although it's practically anime. To be honest, I think the difference between anime and cartoons from other countries are largely made up -- there are various types of Japanese animation. The way some people categorise anime is like considering only serial cartoons aimed at male pre-teens/teenagers actual cartoons.

Others... Um. I like Avatar, Alfred J. Kwak (another one that could be called anime because Japan was heavily involved in the production), and the old TMNT. And He-Man! Neither TMNT or He-Man have aged particularly well, IMO, but that's exactly why they're great even now, they've went beyond that special border of horrible and awesome, especially the old crappy dubs in my native language.

Edit: Oh yeah, how could I forget: Nick Knatterton! It was made of awesome. And then there's this Finnish animation named Pasila, I love that show.

Transformers (from the 80s of course), followed closely by Ulysses 31 and Mysterious Cities of Gold. Rounding out my top 5 would be Dangermouse and Bananaman.

Doonesbury its ridiculously amusing and clever in only 3 pictures

Doonesbury uses four panels... but you're right, it is the most politically important cartoon in America in the last 30+ years.

However, favorite... Family Guy.

Mine was Zoids for a long time, until it ended, but I've always been a die hard transformers fan, at least until Transformers Animated came along and I was informed that unlike Gundam fans when SD Gundam was introduced, we all couldn't pretend that this one never happened.

So, despite the crappy artwork mine is currently Star Wars Clone Wars, or whatever happens to be on adult swin at the moment.
