I might be alone in this, but Fantastic Mr. Fox felt tailormade to my cinematic needs.

The story, the visuals, the characters and the music; all of it was mixed into a crazy wild animal stew that I couldn't get enough of.

It's best to say 2010 was pretty terrible in total films to be considered for such a topic. I mean, I'm not bashing on Inception, I just didn't like it too much. I like a little realism in movies, and to me I just could not see Inception ever happening in any plane of existence. I have really no favorite this year.

This. Absolute favourite movie of all time.

It was just so enjoyable; I don't know how anyone couldn't love it.

Real? Scott Pilgrim vs The World.

Animated? How to Train your Dragon.

Between the two? mmmm.... Scottie P!

EDIT: And I'm not a hipster douche. It was just a cool movie.

Unfortunately I didn't see many films this year. The two big ones I saw were Kick-Ass and Scott Pilgrim, but I don't wanna say it's a tie between them. If I had to chose one over the other, I'd go with Kick-Ass.

Toy Story 3. Laughs, tears, adventure, light-heartedness, dark turns, poetic justice, it's like the embodiment of everything I look for in entertainment.

Well, for favorite movie that came out this year, I'd probably have to say How to Train Your Dragon. At least, that's of the movies I've watched. Although, I laughed more at the MacGruber movie, but that doesn't really make it the best movie. As for movie I ENJOYED the most in 2010, it's Oldboy.

Not in any order:

How to Train Your Dragon
Megamind
Inception
Shutter Island
Tangled
Valhalla Rising

and not trying to be a nonconformist, but I still prefer Toy Story 2 to Toy Story 3. Sorry Pixar, Emperor Zurg should've been more than just in the credits in the third one.

For me, it's a tie between Inception and Toy Story 3. Narrowing it down from there is an apples vs. oranges kinda scenario.

I have to say, mine's Inception. Great storyline and cinematography, and the acting's top notch.

Interested to see what most people say.
I say this:

Yes, Inception's the best film I've seen this year aside from Toy Story 3. I'm really starting to like Christopher Nolan.

Well, I watched MGS4 for the first time about a month ago.

Wait...

OT: In all seriousness, I would have to go with Inception. Brilliant directing from Nolan and a very strong performance from Leo and the rest of the cast.

How To Train Your Dragon, followed by Toy Story 3 and The Social Network. This doesn't include short films or documentaries.
