Pretty much Chrono Trigger, if you want to know why go read NewClassic's Guest Review from December, he sums it up pretty well.

I'll have to be boring and go for Mass Effect too. The story and characters were engaging, the locations were amazing to look at, and the game mechanics kept you interested.

As far as JRPGs are concerned, I'll go for Shadow Hearts 2: Covenant. Apart from the first one I played (Final Fantasy X), it's the only JRPG I've ever really gotten in to. The whole 'alternate history' thing was interesting, and it didn't take itself too seriously, for the most part. The combat system was good, too.

Persona 4. I've never played an RPG before that where I actually cared about supporting characters. Interesting enemy types, an easy to learn-hard to master battle system, an engaging story with an unexpected twist and of course, the fact that there was not one character that I didn't like. It blends both a school sim and dungeon crawler together in ways I've never thought possible and does it very well. Persona 3 may have been my introduction into the series but P4 exceeded it in so many categories that I can't help but put it first.

Oblivion. Im a PS3 guy so I can't lpay the rest of the Elder Scroll series. I like it because it had such a vast world and so many cryptic tombs that all had a slightly different feel. And what I liked was that it was acually possible to sneak in the game while in fallout 3 someone would see you from a mile away through a rock or something. Plus, if you ran out of arrows you could still fight with a sord while in Fallout 3 if you ran out of bullets (which I did all the time) then your left with your fists and they suck. Also, Oblivion had alot of color, I like color, I don't see why everyone likes gunmetal grey or some dirt brown crap color everywhere. I like to see yellows, greens, oranges, purples, and other bright /semi bright colors. It is just a great game and trumps Fallout 3 by leaps and bounds even though it is about 4-5 years old

Final Fantasy 6, the only Final Fantasy I have beaten having played all of the 8 and 16 bit ones, and I've beaten it 4 times.
