And Shadows of the Empire on 64, anyone else remember the crazy hold every button cheat? man that was nuts. I tried to hunt it down on PC to no avail.

Anybody mention Stretch Panic yet, the most hilarious game with only a 65 out of 100 on Metacritic? That underrated little gem has made for some hilarious situations with friends who don't know what it is. It's also a great example of innovative gameplay, it just might've fell a little short. Damn shame, that.

Rise of the Kasai. The sequel to Mark of Kri. It was amazing, and it got brushed to the side because of Halo 2. :'(

BlazBlue Calamity Trigger and BlazBlue Continuum shift (those pictures were from Continuum Shift), two absolutely beautiful fighting games with great story and a welcome emphasis on timing and countering rather than combos.

Psychonauts by Tim Shafer and Double Fine productions. A great game that didn't sell well.
I keep hearing about how awesome this game is from random people. It's also by the guy who did Brutal Legend.

OT: Syphon Filter: Omega Strain. It was the pinnacle of the series, but it was released exclusively for PS2 just as it was declining and just as 360 was gaining popularity.

F-Zero GX. Those who play it love it. Also on the GC, 1080: Avalanche, had a sense of speed no other snowboarding game has.
Or to start foaming at the mouth!

Guardian Heroes

By far the greatest side scrolling beat-em up but the game is some much more than that. It's an rpg with multiple paths and endings and great 6 player fighting game with all the games characters from peasants to gods.

Not a favorite but the most recent one that comes to my mind is ''Ghost Trick'' on the DS
Not underrated, just not well known.

OT: Star Wars Battlefront 2. It got 7's from IGN and Gamespot, but damn did I enjoy that game. It was like battlefield 2 except star wars. And boy were those space battles epic.

Final Fantasy Tactics, and I don't mean the shitty spinoff Advance titles, nor do I mean the awful PSP enhanced port with the awful slowdown.

Also, Ranger X, it's ...hard to explain the game. Think...a space ship shooter meets Megaman...

Underrated games?

1. Parasite Eve (PS1), okay, I love this game above all other, I admit.

2. Rouge Squadron II (Game Cube), a really fun game

3. Tetrisphere (N64), that soundtrack had me mesmerized
I had almost forgotten it...

ok i got a bunch some you may agree with , some you may disagree with

1.) blast corps for the N64, basically there is a new truck loose in each level you get to use giant robots and vehichles to destory buildings and make a path for it

2.) Alpha protocal: I know alot alot of people hate this game and say it is broken , but i disagree, the first couple levels maybe rough but as you move throught the game the story and gameplay get much much much better, and they break it up with sniper missions , boss fights all sorts of cool stuff.

3.)serious sam for the xbox, best circle strafe shooter of last generation, check it out if you are sick of cod, its for download on xbl now

4.) whiplash for the xbox, really interesting premise highly orignal

5.) The sly cooper series, my fav games of all time highly underated in my opinion !

Banjo Kazooie Nuts and bolts so underrated, I thought it was an amazing game with a really unique concept behind it. I really dont care for the other banjo kazooie games but the whole total freedom in creating vehicles be they ATV's, bi-planes, rocket ships etc.. to solve puzzles or just mess about just is so apart from anything Ive played before but a lot of people dismiss it because of the fact that its banjo & kazooie and some of the banjo fans dismiss it because its nothing like the original games.
It is really worth a play.
