I started with the NES and SNES at a friends house. The big sell for me was *Dramatic Pause* duck hunt.

Then N64 with Goldeneye and Perfect Dark.

spyro and crash bandicoot. Naughty Dog has been one of the best since crash came out, and insomniac made ratchet and clank, which was awesome.

The game that got me into gaming was Sonic the Hedgehog for the Sega Megadrive, when I was four or five. [sub][sub]Wow, I feel rather old now for some reason.[/sub][/sub]
The rest, as they say, is history.
that's not old, [sub] ok kinda is but i can still beat it [/sub] i got into game with the Atari 2600, burger time and demon attack, fallowed by TMNT1 on the NES.

that fact I'm both older then Mario, and been playing games longer then he's been important, -.- that's kinda depressing in a weird way

Super Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back on the Super Nes. Fantastic side-scroller, I played the life out that game.

Combination of Croc: Legend of the Gobos and Ape Escape for the PS1. Since those games I've been hooked ever since. Plus, they've aged well, which is always nice.

Jeez... that's a tough one. I think Metal Gear Solid was the one who made me a truly hardcore gamer, but the first one I played was Operation Wolf.

Arkanoid on the C64 would probably be it. There were a couple of others along the way but I spent a ton on that one.

The first games I tried and played a few times was Duck Tales and Super Mario Bros. on my cousin's NES but the game that really got me into gaming, I think, has to be Donkey Kong Country with some help from TMNT: Turtles in Time.

The first game I remember playing, and the game that got me into gaming, was Super Mario World. And I still love that game to bits. It's fantastic.

Super Mario World on the SNES, along with every other game in the Super Mario All Stars collection. However, the first game that I ever truly adored with all my heart was Ocarina of Time. Christ, I loved that game.

Tekken 3 was brilliant, and probably the same answer for me.

Lego Racers was my first game ever. That and Croc 2 were what got me into playing video games, and it's due to the first one that I own a copy of nearly every Lego game in existence (save a few of the Traveler's Tales ones and Rock Raiders, which I lost a while back.)

My uncle first showed me Unreal Tournament when I was 7, sure I played Age of Empires every now and then, but Unreal Tournament had me hooked. I never had a PS One or a N64. So Unreal Tournament was 'the game' that got me into gaming. Got my first Ps2 that Christmas and have been gaming ever since.

I have some very fond memories of Team Deathmatch on Deck 16...ah the joy
