My town is most famous for its nuclear processing and power installations. We refined the radioactive materials used in the bomb dropped on Nagasaki. Yeah, great thing to be famous for... Apparently some people who know of us actually think our deer glow in the dark.

Being in Europes hall of shame...

The town which I live in has the highest proportion of underage teenage pregnacies in proportion to the teenage population of the town compared to anywhere else in Uk and possibly Europe (allegedly any way).

We were also once the key rail way town in England.

Go Crewe...
I thought Leicester held that title for the Saffron Lane Estate?
All the same, Leicester has a small range of famous shit that I don't feel I should list.
What I feel is impressive is that in Leicester, a few things work on connections; if you don't know the right people, you're not gonna make it too far, regardless of what you do...

Birmingham is the home of bourneville, and therefore the cadbury's factory, which insired Roald Dahl's Charlie and the chocolate factory.
Also we have the longest ring route for a bus in europe and the third longest in the world (The 11A, a lesser known and useless fact but one I know anyway)

3 things -
1. Chico
2. The 7/7 Bombers
3. Having one of our electronic "matrix" roadsigns hacked into and having "F*** Off" dispalyed instead of the amount of parking spaces available.

hmmm...my town has a six flags in it??

On the other hand, the next town over is known to be the birthplace of people such as Ray Bradbury and Flynn Willis (the janitor from Scrubs).

Hi I'm Alex.

My city is famous for a reactor meltdown. I have two faces, and I frequently have to scratch my extra foot on my extra face.

(Just kidding.)

I guess my place is famous for a low crime rate.

Well, low major crime rate such as stealing and murdering.

Plymouth's famous for Sir Francis Drake (Although he was born in Tavistock)
And the Pilgrims (And they weren't from Plymouth either)
We are also the biggest city in Europe to not have had a team in the top tier of football (ffs)

I think Madonna was born in mine.

Not exactly something for a town to be proud about, but there it is.

At one time, my home town was recalled as being "Scarier than the bronx." I live in Scotland, so I don't doubt it.
