Whats your home town Famous for ?

This is not a competition.
My home town is famous for blowing up more precisely largest non war time land explosion that was buncefield oil storage which part of my home town Hemel Hempstead.
Anyone got anything interesting I like to know.
Also has discovered who ever did my home town page on Wikipedia

Being in Europes hall of shame...

The town which I live in has the highest proportion of underage teenage pregnacies in proportion to the teenage population of the town compared to anywhere else in Uk and possibly Europe (allegedly any way).

We were also once the key rail way town in England.

The city where I live is known to actually be a big university with a small village around.
It's a freaking ghost town during the semester breaks.
My home town is mostly known for it's gigantic mall.

my town used to be the largest in europe without a trainstation. it has one now then, since April.

and it has a high population of scots because it used to be where one of the main steelworks was. and it used to be the only place in england you could buy Irn Bru. Live in Corby, by the way. not that you have ever heard of it.
