In Dreamfall: The Longest Journey, after you visit Faith's room, then check the video put together by the scientists experimenting on her, and then you go back into her room and look at the paintings and stuff lying there. The comments Zoe makes are heartbreaking.
Yeah, that and the ending made me cry pretty bad!

I found it pretty moving/sad when Luke fights Asch for the Sword of Lorelei, 'cause he's effectively fighting with him for the right to die.

The end of Persona 4. I just didn't want it to end, period.
Also this. I played through the ending again today and, again, felt sad when it was over. The same went for Persona 3.

That bit in the darkness when you talk to that guy with both his legs sticking out of his knees after a car crash was wierd, not sad, just very strange. I shot him after so its all good.

In Baldur's Gate 2 (the expansion) you get these short stories of what happens to your partymembers after the game is over....some of them really make me go "....".

I've not played a huuge amount of games, but this is a somewhat strange one.

When the French lady died on a mission in FC2. She was really nice and I couldn't save her, no matter how many times I reloaded the mission.

Can't really think of any others, to be honest.

Are you all mad!! I personally think that lost odyssey hast it, that KAim found his daughter after a long time just to find her ill, and after a while she dies... and the character emotion was magnificent

Too many parts of the Metal Gear saga for me to bother listing, really.

But one thing I must say: The End's death was the second time I cried in a game (I won't tell the first one, because ity's ridiculous).

When Captain Price died in Call of Duty 4, he was my favorite character of all time, at least I was able to kick that one armed dudes ass. =o

KH2 when

I thought Goofy died.

Oh man that made me sad
That made me more angry than sad. Unlike other gamers' experiences, he wasn't acting like an idiot in battle.

To the OP, I'd answer the entire relationship of Angelo and Marcello in Dragon Quest 8. From the beginning of seeing the interaction between those two was saddening.
