I run for about 2 miles on a treadmill...and then I'm done. I'm not trying to lose substantial weight or get a six-pack or anything, I just want to stay healthy. Keep my blood pressure in a good place.

All in the title. What's your work out routine like?

I recently started working out at the on-campus gym--nice place. I work mostly on cardio, I'm eventually going to move to some strength building.
Right now, I start with 5 miles on a stationary bike, row 5k, then run 2 miles on the tredmile. All of this takes me about an hour and a half.

I go to the gym at least twice a week and I tend to do both cycling, lower and upper body exercises till I'm sore. I also walk everywhere.

Also chasing after fresh victims is also a workout.

Before I got sick I did a 5km run for a warm up, then about 30 minutes of boxing, weight training and cardio, then finishing of with cycling for the rest of the hour. I did this 3 times a week and now I'm so jealous of anyone who can exercise, being sick sucks.

Monday I exercise my chest and triceps, end it with 100 sit-ups.

Tuesday I swim about kilometer.

Wednesday I work on my biceps, shoulders and back, end with 100 sit-ups.

Thursday I swim about 1 kilometer again.

Friday I exercise my legs, more focus on my triceps and back than I do on my earlier programs, a little of my shoulders and end with 100 sit-ups.

Then I swim about 2 kilometers on Saturday and take the Sunday off.

I recently stopped jogging because I just started ending an exercise with sit-ups rather than jogging. I also figured that swimming would be a good substitute for jogging without causing as much problem with my back and legs. _For a reference though I used to end with jogging 5 kilometers.

I'm coming off a shoulder surgery so not much lately, I've been able to do some safety bar squats but that's about it. before the surgery I did a lot of heavy lifting, boxing and strongman.

I can't wait to get back to it.

Walk 4.5km to work, do an eight hour shift lifting boxes and putting their contents on shelves, walk home. Like I need to go to a gym when I'm paid to do this.

In the RAF I do a lot of compulsury phys... this involves a team sport session (changes every week... usually Uni-Hoc, Basketball or Volleyball) 2 circuits (1 which is Boxercise) and then a personal trainer friend takes me on runs, and 3x short weights sessions a week.
I then go swimming on most Sat's

So that's:
  • 1x Sports session
    2x Circuits
    1x Run
    3x Weights
    1x Swim

I'll admit, I have been out of action for quite a while. But I'm back home now, back with my training partner of 5 years and back into the game. Usually train in the gym 5 - 6 times a week. Mostly training for functional strength and endurance. Will box and grapple a few times a week on top of the gym, which will last anywhere between 1 - 3 hours.

Tuesday is usually my big day. Gym in the morning before work, work in construction all day, head straight to Army after work when we'll grapple for an hour before parade, then do an hour PT with the whole unit. I am quite often very sore on a Wednesday.

5x5 is the best work out ever for power lifting.

Chest: 5x5 315 lbs flat bench.....5x5 80 lbs dumb bells incline then sit ups.

Legs: 5x5 405 lbs squat then unweighted lunges. I'm so wasted after that weight. Then sit ups.

Back: 5x5 380 lbs dead lifts. Then 3x10 pull ups. Then hanging leg lifts for hands and abs.

I run 2 or 3 times a week. You don't need more for strength than this. I love the weak 150 lb dudes doing shrugs or 35 lb shoulders. Highly unnecessary.

I walk everywhere... mostly cause I don;t own a car... but that's about it...

I hate working out... I'd rather be fat, lazy and miserable... than fit and miserable... at least in the former I get to spend all my time eating red meat and being lazy... and there's no expectation for me to do anything with my life...<.<
+1

Since this site hates short-content posts, ill have to say I have no workout. Now if you excuse me I'm going to go eat my box of mini-donuts. No that is not sarcasm.

I have a fairly intense workout and fitness life, I've been doing it fairly seriously for 3-4 years now.

Monday: Chest 1hr, 45mins Cycling
Tuesday: Legs 1hr, 30 mins cycle
Wednesday: 1hr Biceps and Triceps, 2 hours Ultimate Frisbee Training
Thursday: 1 hr abdominals
Friday: 1hr Backs and Lats, 30 mins jog
Saturday: 1hr Shoulders, 1 hour ultimate frisbee training
Sunday: Rest

Can I also make a very important point about nutrition which is just as important as working out.

At the moment I go to the gym whenever I can (will go more when uni finishes for the year) and do 2km of rowing as fast as I can (trying to get under 8 minutes 30 seconds) and 30 mins on the bike. Will add more when I get more time.

8:30 is a decent goal man, best of luck getting there. You should try doing 2 minute sprints, which will help with your overall time. Another good exercise is to do 500m row, 400m run (it's supposed to be a sprint, but it's never a proper sprint after the first one haha) and do that 5 time through for the best time possible, both of those things would probably help get your time down :)

I got 9:19 on my first go last week which I was pretty happy with. Thanks for your suggestions.

I walk everywhere. I don't own a car and I live a 30 minute walk away from the nearest bus, an hour walk from the nearest train and 30 minutes walk to the nearest shop. I use that as a workout, also walking the dogs. I also have the wii fit that I use for an hour each morning. I've lost quite a few pounds of weight since using the wii fit. Never thought using it would help at all.

I lift two new york strip steaks at night and a bowl of total in the afternoon.
In the evening I do a strenuous workout with my fingers clicking a mouse and typing thousands upon thousands of times.

So far I still weigh 145 at a height of 5'11"... seeing how long I can push it.
