I don't drink at all, and never plan to, after the time me and some friends came home from the pub (i'd had diet coke, they'd done tequila), and I had them licking the windows of every shop we passed.

Why did I make them do this? Because they couldn't stop me.

I never want to be that out-of-control.

I don't really drink to get drunk myself. I have a couple beers here and there because I just enjoy having a couple beers. I usually stop drinking (if I'm drinking) at the point when your drunkenness starts to get in the way of how awesome you are at pool.

Till I run out of booze - or when I get to that point where all alcohol tastes like rat piss

Depends on who I'm with, what I'm drinking, where I am, how much money I've got... though I haven't really been drinking a lot lately since a night out a couple of months ago when a drinking session resulted in a hospital visit and a hangover that lasted a week.

I got bored of drinking some years back, its just no fun anymore.

But when I drank I would only stop when my liver started to hurt, or when I woke up in hospital with my stomach pumped, or that one time I drunk 2 bottles of absynth, snorted a hugh pile of ketamin and speed and ended up having the most amazing trip before falling in to a K hole of epic proportions.

wow, theres an overwhelming one sided response. we've got some drinkers here...I think it also depends on who you hang out with, what bar your at, etc. Most of the bars I frequent will kick you out if you get too drunk and start making a fool of yourself. I had a friend who fell asleep at the bar once and the bartender asked us to "gather him up and go".
But then, at other bars, people like you to get so plastered you jump up on a table and start dancing, and they encourage it.

For me theres a fine line between just enough and too much. I'm really petite, and I "think" I can handle a lot of alcohol but I can't. I'll have 4 beers and am completely fine, buzzed of course, but able to carry an intelligent conversation. Then, it goes on to 5-8 beers(sometimes) parried with shots, and on those nights I will be having a conversation and then it's like an atomic bomb goes off. It's completely unexpected, and I won't be prepared for it. I will be stumbling around hardly able to see straight and will have to leave.

I agree with whomever said that they don't like the feeling of being heavily intoxicated and I'm the same. I partied and drank more in high school than I do now that I've been legal drinking age for 2 years. I think I got burnt out on it and now I just take it easy. Plus, I think it's better to keep your tolerance level low. You don't waste as much money and you keep your cool.

Theres nothing more unattractive to me than a drunken girl wobbling or being loud, falling down shamelessly, while her embarrassed boyfriend/date looks on.

I tend to stop in time to actually keep feeling good the whole evening. I don't exactly like getting piss drunk.

I drink until I don't remember what happened, I wake up with a hangover, and decide to never drink...which usually lasts till next week.
