Getting all the pins in TWEWY is a tedious chore, especially since some pins only evolve through multiplayer, and since this game has none it's almost hopeless.

In addition, I've been trying to get the best armor for the final boss battle in Golden Sun 2, which involves gathering the rarest materials that have a low % of dropping, and then smelting a large number of those materials and have at most a 8% chance to get that armor you want. I'm doing this for all four characters and it's just so tedious

Battlefield: Bad Company became a chore when I reached the highest ranking online and the level of competition spiked. I realized that I had to play an hour each day to stay good enough to have fun. I simply quit.

Optimum leveling in a TES game. For a bit I kept getting obsessed with getting all +5's without wasting skill points, but then I realized it ruins the game, and unlike everyone else apparently, I do fine as I am without squeexing out every stat point I can.

Anno 1404 and Spore.

The problem with trading/building games is that they get harder by adding more stuff to trade and build. This leads to more stuff for the player to multitask.

Eventually, with me, anyway, this reaches a critical point when I decide that the amount of reward gained from multitasking has been outweighed by the pain and frustration involved in keeping all these little virtual people happy.

To cut things short (unlike the bloody games!) I end up quitting after a while. It's not worth the pain...

World of Warcraft.

I don't think more needs to be said about that experience.

95% of Star Ocean 4 was a chore.

all sidequests and shop orders were chores
crafting was a chore
duplicating crap(so you can craft) was a very slightly less chore
leveling up and maxing fol so you can buy tri emblems to synth onto gear with metal scumbags was a chore
watching cutscenes was a chore

after about 50 30 minute or less sessions of that game i just gave up completely.

My run through of MW2 on veteran. The level of dying is becoming boring, as is pumping 10 rounds into someone, only to have them all negated by something, and have them kill me in 1 hit. Urgh.
Oh god yes and it was made even worse for since it was my first playthrough. Plus ME, god I got so bored in that game. The combat was fine, but there was so much emptiness.

Climbing ladders in God of War. I just bought the GoW 1-2 pack, and MY FUCK the man climbs slowly. I mean, I understand that it shouldn't be that big of a deal, but the fact that Kratos need's to climb ladders an average of 10 times a fucking level makes things....Tedious.

Pokemon Soul Silver at the moment. I'm currently attempting to find the motivation to train my team to a high enough level so that we can attempt to bring Red down.

So far I'm caught up in the battle tower, not looking forward to the impending grindfest that is to come.
If you have one high-level Pokemon (Feraligatr), it's very easy.

EDIT: Trying to train my Luxray up to Level 100.
