Lost Odyssey(a JRPG) had a point where in order to continue the story, you need a Gate Pass. The only way to get these Gate Passes (each one a one-time-use), you had to steal it from a guard. In battle. Not a very good success rate on the stealing skill if one of the characters in your party HAS the stealing skill.

Moscow, in EndWar, any difficulty.

Getting stuck in Bad Company matches with the same colossal moron who always glitches the artillery and trash talks on the mic, despite repeatedly avoiding and filing complaints. I turned that around though and started ruining his glitch-fest by ramming the arty with a tank while on his team: it blows up, counts as his suicide, he rages hard.

Well, I was having a bad day due to my internet not working. So I boot up Wild Arms 3 and spend half a freaking hour trying to get past the fire and water puzzle in Yggdrisal.

When I heard that Gearbox had raped and then murdered Brothers in Arms backstage between acts then pushed a clown out on stage and tried to convince us it was the same game series.

Super Smash Bros Melee. Trying to get the Majora's Mask trophy. The f*cking AI, despite it being a FREE FOR ALL match, would all gang up on me and edge guard. It was so cheap.

Team Fortress 2, when my human team were too idiotic to take down a sentry in an over exposed position a demoman could take down without leaving the spawn room

The godfather for the pc. Basically one of the tasks in that game was solo clearing compounds which would be al fine and good but its hard and the ai does cheap s**t like camping in corners with boxes covering their flanks making so you have to quickly run in and shoot, but most of the time you took a moth full of buckshot instead and when you died you had to do the whole compound again from the start. Made me rage so hard I slammed the game disk on the corner of my desk to snap it in half.

Just remembered another one, from the Halo Reach campaign.

Was playing ONI Sword Base on Legendary, i hadn't died once yet and was on the verge of adding another one to the Flawless Cowboy commendation when at the very end where you take on a swarm of Banshees and a Phantom, i was just about to finish off the last Banshee when a rocket hits me in the back... friendly fire from an AI UNSC trooper destroyed all that progress made, i didn't even bother to finish the last two seconds of the mission.
