Final Fantasy 7

I was angry when Aeris died. Not because of any emotional attachment to the character, I was angry because it was a blatant shock death. I actually remember saying to my brother "I can't believe this, nobody can be so stupid to think that this is going to be a huge plot twist, I expect people going up in arms over this piece of garbage." years later when I got internet, I was sorely dissapointed.

Well I was about to rage today when playing Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, I decided to create a tank character, so I arrive at Giovanni mansion and kill everyone with my bare hands. After I finish my massacre, I try looking for a key to open a locked door, but looks like the only way to open it it's either lockpicking it (I don't have the necessary skill) or asking someone for the key (I guess smashing her into a pulp doesn't count). So I'll have to reload and do it again in a more peaceful un-character like way.

Soul Reaver, the many rooms in Zephon's lair containing boxes that you have to put in different holes in different ways to solve the puzzle, those rooms always filled with ever spawning Zephon's children, the only way to stop them is to impale them and not consume their souls. Between solving the puzzle, fighting the creatures, and having the patience of a 13 year old kid, I pretty much raged for an hour while doing that puzzle the first time.
That and the boss battle with Rahab, instant "death" water plus tricky controls don't mix well.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. guns accuracy, although I've gotten better with it, it's still a bit off. Also, it doesn't help that when I shoot anyone, they gain inmunity to any kind of damage while they're doing their "hurt animation".

And well, Metal Gear it's fun and all but I feel it's more Tactical Backtracking Action than Espionage Action.

The Meat Circus level in Psychonauts.

I never knew I was capable of such obscenities before I played that level.
This. Also, in every game where you drop your stuff when you die, dying multiple time while trying to recover the stuff you lost when you died.

Mortal Kombat for the NES. Grey blood and jacked up fatalities.

And most single player RPGs when I forget to save until after I die.

R-Type III: The Third Lightning (Hard Playthrough)

Specifically, the Forge Level (Stage 4)

Fuck. That. Forge. Level.
Fuck it sideways with a rake. I have no idea what the path is through that maze of doom, or the epic league-douche of a miniboss at mid, but I hate it.

Which is a shame because I adore that schmup all the way up to that point.
Cyclone Force FTW

*4 hours of Oblivion later, after I have leveled up thrice, made the Fighter's guild my *****, and found some really badass armor that I will actually use instead of my personally enchanted Daedric chest, I die to the game glitching up, or me fucking around* and then I stop and remember that I haven't saved for 4 hours... And my quick-save is conveniently right when I fell into the bottomless pit of death...

I gotta say, I'm pretty curious as to what the hell you're talking about bro
Well essentially I made a forum topic describing how I felt when the game Mass Effect 2 revealed Canada had been annexed by the States. Now while authors and such describe similar events happening to other nations and such all the time, even to Canada. This has never bugged me before, I have played a lot of Fallout and nothing ever good happened to Canada there. For reasons I cannot fathom it "really" hurt when it came from Mass Effect. I expressed this and I was torn down, ridiculed, and outright insulted en-masses. Now while like anything fictitious I got over it quite easily, it was peoples reactions that still befuddle and hurt me to this day.

What say you?

Prince of Persia: Sands of Time.

Good game and all, but ooooone tiny problem. It's ALWAYS in slow motion! Like all the time. Is it because I'm playing on PC or is that just how the game is? The cut-scenes aren't in slow motion. It's just a huuuge pain to me.

Well if you insist, mind you this is a copy and paste from a previous comment that I feel is written well enough:

Now while authors and such describe similar events happening to other nations, their own, and such all the time, even to Canada. This has never bugged me before, I have played a lot of Fallout and nothing ever good happened to Canada there. For reasons I cannot fathom it "really" hurt when it came from Mass Effect. I played the Black Ops free weekend and the constant cheap deaths were pretty damn infuriating. Everybody and their damn random grenades can go right to hell.

It seems a trivial thing to get so upset over, but I get upset over stuff in anime, so I can't really say its trivial :p
I found it amusing that in an old game of Risk that my parents own, there are three main provinces: Alberta, Ontario, and Quebec. I found this profoundly amusing, because Alberta and Ontario kinda make sense: Alberta playing with the idea of joining with Saskatchewan, BC and a few of the states just over the border, and Ontario already having most of the population of Canada. But Quebec?! LOL QUEBEC.

I know most non-Canadians are jelly of Canada, even when they say they aren't, and I'm happy if a game even mentions Canada, but I won't get butthert about it. Well... it depends on the game. I'd love to see Canada get mentioned in MW3, but I'm sure it'd just be the USMC going into a part of BC to capture some terrorist douchebag, and our mounties are tripping over their 50 year old rifles that were bought from the states, and the whole time the USMC is "That terrorist WOULD be in BC"...

But oh well.
TL;DR. Your point makes sense. I am baffled that you got so much rage on it though.

Ugh, that level. I thought my right eye was going to explode from all the twitching.

Most recent: L.A Noire. It's a perfectionists nightmare. I had to get EVERY clue and EVERY question answered correctly or I couldn't stop thinking about it. I have no idea how many times I had to start that line of questioning or the whole damn case file over again. Once I heard that melody that meant I didn't get the question answered correctly, I died a little inside. I started writing everything down.

That's interesting - what about that particular "future history" did you find annoying, vs. say, Fallout? Or is it more a gut reaction type thing?
