When I say Final Fantasy, who comes to mind?

So, we all know that Final Fantasy is a game series that never seems to end and because of that, they have a bazillion characters. My friend and I were talking about it the other day and it made me curious...

When someone mentions Final Fantasy, what is the first FF character that comes to mind for you?

For some reason, it's Yuna from Final Fantasy X for me. Maybe that's because FFX was the first FF I ever even attempted, but I knew of a few other FF characters before Yuna (thanks to Kingdom Hearts) so I really have no idea why she comes to mind first. But she does.
And funny enough, Yuna isn't even my top favorites in the series (she is one of my favorite female characters, though, next to Rinoa). But even they (Vaan, Tidus, Larsa, Zidane) don't come to mind first.

So who comes to mind for you?

Tifa, Vanille and Squall for me.
Maybe because 7 was the first i played, 13 was the one i most recently played, and 8 was just one i liked a lot.

Tidus comes to mind.

I was in about 3rd or 4th grade when Final Fantasy X was released, so it was the first one I'd ever gotten to play. After a long and lovely relationship with the series, it still remains my favorite.

Honestly though, Tidus as a protagonist really wasn't all that cool. He was actually just really whiny.

Snow and Lightning. I've only tried a FF game for PS2 and don't remember what any of the characters in that were called but Snow and Lightning have been mentioned in reviews like ZP.

Are Cloud and Sephiroth FF characters? They both play a kinda big roles in Kingdom Hearts but I never wondered where they came from.

Mine would be cloud no other final fantasy character really comes to heart unless I'm trying to think of them. I haven't even played FF VII first hand but he was the only one that really clicked for me.

Sorry, I don't know if you're being sarcastic or if that's an honest question. Since...I don't know anyone that doesn't know what Cloud's from but hey, first time for everything. Maybe.
But, uh, yeah, they're both from FFVII.

When I think final fantasy the first cast I think about is the FF9 cast. More specifically Zidane, and Garnet

Nobuo Uematsu comes to mind first. Then Hironobu Sakaguchi. They are my idols and if they took human sacrifices, I would kill a small city in their honor.

Hmmm...Tidus, followed by Cloud. And Red XIII. Red was always my favorite character, really, but Tidus' overwhelming (and grating) optimism and Cloud's unending angst tend to kind of drown out Red's character.
