What do you think about to try to make yourself fall asleep? I end up audiating some song in my head or considering the things I must do the following day.
Ya it is literally right under this one the homepage.ElephantGuts said:Okay, an insomnia thread was just made. Seriously.
The difference is that thread discusses what people are doing at unreasonable hours of the night, rather than this thread, which discusses what one thinks about while falling, or trying to fall, asleep.ElephantGuts said:Okay, an insomnia thread was just made. Seriously.
I do this sometimes too! Usually it's when I'm really tired because I've just woken up after no sleep and so I fall asleep without realizing it, thinking I've gone off to do whatever, then I rudely awake myself by attempting some complex action. It really is a bizarre feeling.McNinja said:I have fanciful dreams that I actually shake myself out of. Imagine in a dream you're about to shoot a basketball and suddenly you're shaken awake by yourself as you attempt the motion lying down.
indeed it is. I usually awaken going "wtf? dang..."Spleenbag said:I do this sometimes too! Sleep well. I'm gonna go hit the sack as well. See you later, fellow Escapists.-Zen- said:I think I'll be heading to bed, now. Judging by my oddly calm demeanor at the moment, I'm guessing that I'll be thinking about the comfy mattress and appreciate its precense.
Good night.
I've actually woken up to myself jumping, or at least attempting to. And another time i tried to do a jumping jack. And I did it literally five times in a row while a friend was over. She's calmly sleeping and I'm just spasing out trying to fall asleep.Spleenbag said:Once or twice I have done it during a rather...
