It might have been all the killing that choked him up. I, however, had a blast doing that mission.nilpferdkoenig said:The Purification mission was the funnest and coolest one. I laughed my ass off! Dunno what was so sad about that one.fierydemise said:KOTOR 1, darkside ending on top of the temple and when you return to the ship, I won't spoil it for those who haven't played it, everyone who has knows what I mean.
Also Oblivion, Dark Brotherhood, The Purification. I didn't cry but it was definitely tough.
For those of you mentioning KOTOR 2, the cut content is even more powerful (party members killing each other based on your actions), if Team Gizka ever finishes we'll see it in all its glory.
Add me to the list... And, for some reason, while Risner's death wasn't all that touching, I foundseeing Leggett dying from the tank shell, and Obrieski's death got me more, emotionally. I didn't cry, but it was still a moment of sadness.Nickson said:I can't say that I've ever cried during a video game (I don't usually find them all that emotionally compelling), but if I ever came close, it was during "Brothers in Arms: The Road to Hill 30". The part when the main character's best friend, George Risner is killed was the most emotional scene I've witnessed in any video game ever.
I don't understand why no one (that I know of, I just sort of skimmed the posts here) has mentioned it. Maybe it's just me. Or maybe it's because I can count the number of people I know who have actually played this game on one hand.
Yeah the first time I saw Jackson's death was sad for me. I was just plain pissed off when Gaz died. He was awesome. Didn't give a shit about the black marine though.J9387 said:I almost teared up when Jackson died in COD4, I've never had a main character die like that on me.
The ending of COD4 is pretty powerful also.
Golden Sun TLA: When Issac, Felix and Jenna found out they just killed their parents, heart wrenching, even though they're resurrected, the final scene in Vale is just as powerful even though it really is a rather happy ending.
