When was the last time you cried and/or teared up during a video game?

Embarrassingly, I felt quite emotional when Luis Sera was killed in RE4, because Leon sounded so damn meaningful whilst he was shouting at his corpse ): Though that might have been because for someone who had just been impaled on a parasetic tentacle Luis took a long time to die :/
Also, nearing the end of Resident Evil: Code Veronica when Steve confesses his love for Claire then snuffs it my eyes were admittedly watery.
But I promise I don't BAWWW at every sad bit in games :p

Games rarely get to me emotionally, ico is a rare example, but in lost oddessy when kaim finds his daughter he thought was dead, only to have her die from a terminal illness in his arms got me a wee bit teary.

I usually don't cry at video games, but some deaths were just shocking.Deaths are about the only thing that really touch me, so here goes.
1 At Romans wedding, I chose deal, and then figuring out that mallorie was pregnant with his baby after the gun went off was really shocking, I really had fun watching dimitri die.
2 In COD4, the end at the bridge.I remember the shootout and trying to hold on, and when that general walked up to gaz I started saying no no no NO! I teared up a bit at that, but sergeant jackson wasnt even given a story, so his death didn't affect me.Apart from knowing he died painfully from radiation poisoning. And his pitiful limp/crawl to get away... ok it was bad.
Those are about the only games

Sorry, but I really can't rid myself of my suspension of disbelief, and so, even if it's the most touching moment ever, I won't tear up.
Urrmmm... suspension of disbelief would be the reason you would cry. That's kind of the point of it.

Pretty much any time a game kills off a character that they did a good job of getting you attached to.

1. CoD4: the end (everyone but you dies).
2. Halo 3: Johnson's death, and also at the very end after the credits
3. Life 2: Episode 2: Eli's death
4. Ace Combat 5: Chopper's death

Nice job with spoiling four games in one post. Nice. Job. Thanks a lot.

this is a pretty tuff question, since im assuming most of us here dont keep a Tear journal sitting right next to our game console.
if you were to ask what videogame had the most dramatic storyline, i'd have to say Kingdom Hearts 1. i found the storyline is very good, and i can honestly say i teared up a little at parts of the game.

I can remember the first time I played through GTA IV and got to Roman's wedding. After a little thought I choose deal, as I really didn't feel that angry towards Dimitri at this point. So I pulled off the job, went to the Wedding, and I'll just assume that most of you know what happens next. I was shocked, and much like Niko, seething with hatred. I enjoyed every last second of that final cut scene, and as soon as it ended I eagerly picked up from the save I had made prior to choosing Deal. I thought I was so smart, taking out Dimitri right away before he had a chance to cause any more trouble. After dispatching him I arrived at the wedding in my best suit and tie, only to find even more despair. When I finished it for the second time I felt a profound sadness as I realized that Liberty City has no happy endings for Niko

I have 3 at the end of the Shadow of the Colossus, you work so hard to bring you girlfriend back to life and you die SO WRONG

In Bioshock when you discover your nothing but a puppet to meet the ends of a sadistic bastard i was freaking pissed (no tears tho)

And my final one was in Mass Effect when i got Saren to shoot himself at the end i felt bad for the struggle he was going through, did he volunteer ,was he scared , or was he really trying to protect us all because he saw no other way ,or was he just a puppet i felt so bad for him. Then he got back up and i had to really kill him the feeling ended.

Then ending of mass effect was pretty upsetting.

Not exactly saddening until I saw I overdrafted my account buying it.

Super Paper Mario's ending, hands-down. It is actually the ONLY game that has ever made me cry. Except for Shadow the Hedgehog, but that was for completely different reasons...

It's happened a few times. The ones I remember right off the top of my head are Final Fantasy VI, Xenogears & Final Fantasy VII of course.
