The ending of Metal Gear Solid 3, with Big Boss tearing up in first-person view while saluting The Boss's gravesite. For me that is the high point of the series and something that will never be attained again.

well there's aeris of course.. but i didn't like bawl but sure..i'll man up and admit i was teary eyed.

but the only real tears were of uncontrolable laughter adding my own comments and stupid one liners to "diehard trilogy" for the original ps at like 4 in the morning. thought i was going to suffocate we were laughing so hard

Tears of joy, when I finally stuffed that bloody garden gnome into the rocket in HL2:Ep2.
I shiver every time I see a garden gnome now.

I've never cried but i became really sad when i had to kill Bastila at the starforge.
Just the idea of having to cut down the person you love for the greater good.

Sadness...

Btw bring back KOTOR!

I've never cried or teared up whilst playing a game, but a few moments have made me pretty damn sad.

Cod4: Halfway through and the end.
MGS: Sniper wolf's death.
MGS4: When snake is crawling through the tunnel (I seriously thought it was over after that ..damn Hideo with his lack of decent narratives.)
GTA4: The events when you choose to do the job.
Bioshock: When you see any interaction between the big daddies and little sisters, I don't know why but it's pretty sad watching them interact, especially after you kill a big daddy "Mr bubbles wake up!".

I've never teared up or cried due to a game, but the D-Day crossing in MOHAA (this being back when it was brand spanking new) and actually watching the other landing craft get blown up and all that definitely left me kinda shaky.

Johnson in Halo 3, didnt really cry but i felt kinda hollow and disappointed that he has taken the 1 way trip.
Cod 4 ending was good but a smack in the face. But then again, that's war, felt really bad for Gaz and Griggs though.

If can read the dream sequences in Lost Odyssey and not be moved,... you, my friend, are made of stone.

Lost Odyssey was the most recent, but FFX, the Lunars, and a few others have had compelling enough stories to do so.

This has never happened to me. I get pretty involved in games, but it's never that kind of an emotional involvement.

It's not that I cried or anything, but the first time I played Mass Effect I lost Wrex in Virmire. Aside from feeling like shit after loosing who up until this day is my favorite Mass Effect character I was so upset and distraught that I ended up starting a new game (I tried replaying the mission like three times but couldn't avoid the inevitable). I made sure it didn't happen again.

In Mass Effect, I saved Wrex and Lost Ashley.

Some how, I didn't care. The ending though made me quite happy. I remember... well the last 2 hours of action, you all know, and me screaming like a commander going "MEN WE MAY NOT MAKE IT OUT ALIVE BUT WE ARE TAKING IT WITH US! MOVE MVOE MOVE! *blam* goes my sniper!"

I want it to get cheap so I get it for PC.

The end of HL2: Episode 2. By the way guys, stop spoiling every single game. Some people here haven't finished every game you have played so you should probably not mention every character that dies.
