When I nearly ran my father's collection through a goddamn stump grinder out of madness.
Led Zeppelin is probably some of the most overplayed music on the planet.
Every goddamn radio station in my area used to do the "Get the Led Out" every night at 7pm.
It got old really fucking fast.

Every day on my way to school, and everywhere else for that matter. They are my favorite band and I feel as if every emotion I have can be expressed in one of their songs.
This sounds kind of fanboy-esque, but I really do know, love, and appreciate them. I think that their later work is largely overlooked (i.e. "In Through the Out Door" and "Presence") as well as my personal favorite album "Led Zeppelin III." The story behind LZIII is just so cool and feel-good that I can understand it in all of their songs.
I hate that one damn shirt that everyone always wears though, that being "U.S. Tour 1977." That and "Dark Side of the Moon" shirts bother me when people don't know what they're wearing.
I have gone on quite a micro-tangent, but those are my opinions, be them 100% on-topic or not.

Wait, so it turns out this thread actually is about Led Zepplin? I thought people were pretending to misunderstand.

Yes it was a bit harsh, but why bother to sugarcoat things?
If you don't bother sugarcoating things, then why bother being overly harsh? :)

Seems to me that both courses of action requires extra effort at some point.

Right now. It's raining, thus the rain song MUST be played. It's like a law or something.
In every month except Novemeber, then its time to bring on the Gunners, personally I prefer Guns N Roses more anyway, but hey thats just me.

OT: Not really to sure the last time I "Got the Led Out" at first I thought you meant LED Lights, I was WFT, and as someone quoted earlier getting the lead out used to mean "Hurry Up" anyway.
Playing Led Zepp myself on an instument, NEVER, I cant sing or play anything, but listening I can't remember over a year ago I would say.

Ouch. We get you don't like them, but to think they're 'talentless'? That's a bit harsh don't you think...
Yes it was a bit harsh, but why bother to sugarcoat things?
Then don't you think it was a bit silly? Even *twitch* Justin Bieber has talent.
Not when they stole the intro to Stairway to Heaven (the only good part of the song) from one of the bands they opened for.

The guy that wrote the song just wanted them to say thanks. They never did.
Let's see a source on that, then you may be believed.
It is true, my good sir.

Hmm listened to "Good Times Bad Times" just about 5 minutes ago, another Zeppelin song will probably play soon, seeing as I have their entire discography on my itunes.

Also state your opinion, (I friggen love them), but not as fact. Also you can not deny their influence on music.

The last time I listened to them was right before I learned they stole most of their hit songs from other musicians. They sicken me now for doing such an underhanded thing.
Correction: Early Led Zeppelin borrowed popular tunes from Blues songs and rearranged them for a harder, edgier feel. By Led Zeppelin II the band were more adept at songwriting and relied less on covering old music. "Home Of The Electric Blues", Chicago, 6 April 1977. Research, don't regurgitate.
Okay, I edited my first post to 'borrowed' instead of 'stole'. It doesn't change the fact that they waited for many years to change who the songs were really written by on the inserts, coincidentally after proof and lawsuits started showing up. For that I think they are scum, except Bonham (may he rest in peace) since can do no wrong in my mind.

If you like a band that road on the backs of others to fame and fortune, good for you.

Good day sir.
Out of curiosity, what music do you listen to?

I got my light emitting diode out last night when I needed to get my daughters jacket out of her room when she was asleep.
I'd love a good LED flashlight, it's such an odd thing to get geeky about, but powerful flashlights kick ass.

Stating opinion as fact is iffy at the best of times. Even if you don't like the noise they make, they were all virtuoso's in their own right, and(after the Beatles)are considered by many to be the best rock band that has existed.

Personally, I love 'em. I haven't put any on for a while, but "Since I've been loving you" and "When the levee breaks" blow my mind.
Berethond's statement began with "I think..." which would technically make it a statement of opinion, not fact. Don't get butthurt about someone disliking Zep. I appreciate the influence they have had, but I'll take Black Sabbath a million times over Zep.
