The trick there is to forget whatever other type of character you were going for, whether some kickass mage or agile backstabbing person, instead equip full on tank gear, (Havel's full set) take a big fuck off sword, hold it in both hands then mash the attack button at one so it dies before another can spawn. Stop attacking to heal whenever you really need to. Do not try to dodge if you can help it and hope you can kill them before they get many attacks off.

Such a silly boss fight. This is kinda the best and only strategy for the Four Kings since if you end up going 4 to 1 you are fucked.

Playing Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, and was having a good time. Then they forced me to fight a few zillion dudes with their shitty combat system. After a few tries it completely ruined my interest in the game.

Also in League about two weeks ago when I had what would have been my first Pentakill stolen by a teammate who I had told 20 times to back off on Teamspeak (my entire team was saying it too, he's actually been on thin ice with me for a while so he's been extra careful lately :p)z

That said I very rarely ragequit, it's more likely that Ill keep playing but be extremely irritated.

When I finally decided to try the Darkmoon covenant, and after an absurd amount of attempts I couldn't invade anyone. Apparently nobody made their Anor Londo dark, and the blue eye orb just generates "failed" messages for an hour. This might be more successful on the PS3 (I imagine there's more players than on PC), I just want to make sinners repent, dammit!

Penta steals huh? I get why people rage over them, but actually quitting over it though? Really? To be fair I got a quadra the other day with Caitlyn (oh no the AD Carry gets kills! Big surprise!) then I died and was fairly pissed but quitting over getting kills is silly :p

Oh and I think you can appreciate this one

Literally five minutes ago.

Whenever there's a double XP weekend in Planetside 2, the entire playerbase transforms into a disorganised horde of suicidal zerglings. It's like waking up to a zombie apocalypse. There are no sunderers anywhere, the lag is incredible, no-one gives a crap about things like "capture points" and "squad markers,", and you can't walk five feet without being shot in the head by a guy on your own team who's constantly playing Gangnam Style in their proximity chat. Every square inch within fifty metres of the Crown explodes roughly six times a second.

It's kind of frustrating, and it's made worse by knowing that every minute you're not playing because you got overrun by the zerg and spawn camped for the eighteenth time in the past half hour, or because you and seven guys around you got wiped out by a grenade thrown by your teammate, you're missing out on that precious, precious double XP...

Worms Revolution

I was playing with 3 friends, all of who decided to gang up on me, in spite of this I managed to survive to a point where I had an opportunity for an easy win, I got cocky, used a super sheep instead of an easy weapon, reduced my worm to a couple of HP.

God damn Medieval 2 and its shitty fucking pathfinding...
Haha! - I'm having a problem with that too right now in the M2 campaign map.

Italy's a pain to navigate, and so are parts of the Alps and generally anywhere where a city is next to a river. One AI army, diplomat, princess, merchant, etc. blocking the pass? You're dude will forever be locked into strolling up and down it, turn after turn, as the pathfinding switches between the pass or a route that will take an additional 20 turns.

I've rage quit out of the Far Cry 3 single player a couple of times, the AI is absolutely broken. I'll be up a mountain sniping from behind a tree and the enemies look like fucking ants. Yet if I don't one shot kill them they instantly detect me, it is absolute garbage. Or I love it when there is like one guy left, I release a fucking tiger on him and while the tiger is pinning him to the ground and ripping his face off he has enough sense to detect me sneaking through the jungle 500 meters away.
Ugh that was one of the biggest problems with FarCry 2 as well. You'd snipe a guy from the middle of a bush half a mile away and all his buddies would instantly know where you are.I was thinking of picking up FC3 after xmas but if it's just gonna be the same shit as FC2 then I might not bother(or at leat wait till it drops in price)

Alan Wake. After the third fight where they send like a million guys after you I just gave up and quit to the desktop. I can barely take two or three at once, but when they send like, five guys at the same time, two or more of them being strong dudes that can pretty much one hit kill me and require like three full flashlights before I can even start hurting them, yeah screw this I'm going to play Fallout.

And I know you're supposed to avoid enemies in survival horror games, but these guys run as fast as you. Even if you make it to a "safe haven" the guys just reappear when you leave, and catch up to even if you try to run like a madman to the next area.
Unless you're playing on Nightmare difficulty it shouldn't be that hard.Flares will hold off enemies and you can drop them to create a barrier which can give you the few seconds you need to finish guys off.If there's a group then that's what the flare gun and flashbangs are for

OT:Finished Darksiders 2 last night and it pissed me off enough to quit a few times mainly due to camera issues. When you used the lock-on function the camera had an annoying habit of zooming in right behind your back if you were close to a wall or obstacle. This of course meant you couldn't see what the fuck was going on and resulted in several cheap deaths.A fun game overall but seriously how the fuck are we still having camera issues in 3D games in this day and age

I guess you could include Black Ops 2 as well but that's more resigned quitting than rage quitting.Like the other night when I put 4 shotgun rounds into a guy's back at close range and not one of them registered as a hit and then he just turned around and killed me.I fully expect shit like that to happen in COD games now so it doesn't even piss me off anymore.I'll just drop out of that lobby and join another

I hardly ever rage-quit, just seems like a silly/immature way to handle the challenge of a game. Whenever I hear/read that term, I just get this image of somebody cursing and sweating profusely as they scream at the top of their lungs. I sincerely hope I am wrong. Now quitting out of frustration on the other hand, that's a different story. That has happened to be quite a lot in my game-playing career.

A recent example would have to be when my friends and I tried to defeat one of the new-ish "raid" bosses in the Borderlands 2 DLC "Captain Scarlett and her Pirate's Booty." More specifically, "Master Gee the Invincible." So...the strategy there is to outlive his corrosive damage that also damages him at the same time us? And what is the point of the worms that keep popping up? It's not like he does a whole lot of damage on his own, but the corrosive damage that seems to comes out of nowhere and melts us to goo in a manner of minutes is an absolute monster.

Then again, it had been a long night of Borderlands 2 and maybe we were all just tired, but that's really the only time I can recall just outright quitting out of frustration.

Lollipop Chainsaw. Got to the Fulci Funcenter stage... the minigame in which you're wall-crawling up a skyscraper and a single hit will send you to your death and force you to start over. I raged so hard. Eventually got past it after a day of incubating, but goddamn it took me a lot of tries. Worst part is that it's required to get to that level's boss - don't think I'll go back to him any time soon.
I know your pain. What's worse, there's an achievement/trophy for going all the way up that skyscraper mini-game without firing a shot to defend yourself. Good luck with that one, it took me a good 45 minutes of torture. Most of the first half is memorizing where the enemies spawn and their firing patterns, but the second half is almost completely randomized luck. What a pain in the ass. I wish you the best if you attempt it.

Witcher 2. I was probably half done or near there but after that big update or whatever that was I came back to my game being erased. Haven't loaded it since then. I just can't get into it again Q_Q, maybe one day...

Considering I've played Etrian Odyssey, The Dark Spire, Dark Souls, do flawless no item max point all level all layout Tenchu game runs, a 1% item Metroid Fusion run, and dodged 200 consecutive lightning bolts in FFX, you would think that I would either ragequit frequently or have the patience of a saint. I generally lack patience, and yet I rarely ragequit.

Since I can't think of a recent ragequit I'll say that I about died of pure rage playing through Red Ninja: End of Honor. The actual game is not that hard. The controls take a lot of getting used to, and even then pulling off even simple stealth kills is iffy at times, but the bosses are INSANE.

Dark Souls bosses aren't THAT hard mostly, mainly 4 kings and ceaseless discharge until you safely make it into the crevice. But I'd rather fight 4 kings, AND Mega O, AND Mega S, at the same time, in a room full of curse frogs and razor clams, armed with the whip and no armor than fight Red Ninja's bosses ever again. You are fighting the camera the entire time so you rarely even see what hit you, and the bosses themselves are crazy.

I ragequit on the Armor god fight before the final boss. I've seen YT vids of how to cheese the boss, and even then it takes about 16 minutes to do and then the final boss comes in.

But even the first boss in Red Ninja was an ultimate super badass.

My main issue with that game is that you do very very little damage to anything with your attacks. Making the bosses hp bar move at all is mostly random luck because they outright deflect 90% of your attacks to begin with and take jack damage the other 10%.

This fight had me swearing and foaming at the mouth, in front of 2 of my friends actually. Took like 20 tries, at least.

and this was no better

and this is where I Ragequit. This vid is actually the second part of the fight. Which means that it starts about 6 minutes into the fight.

Its not me playing in the vids btw, just some poor poor soul.

I don't remember because it's been a while since the last time I actually ragequit. Lately, if I've left a game early it's been because I got lagged out or something equally stupid.

Being an engineer in a capture the flag match is the single most frustrating thing you will ever do. Getting your ass kicked every few seconds and getting ganked at your own generators will not do anything to aid the holes my wall. A brick wall mind you.

Every few hours in ME3 MP I ragequit. Either of reasons might apply:

a) Banshee ninja-insta-through-wall-kill from a kilometer away (especially when I'm going solo)

b) Character stops responding to me mashing power buttons/consumable buttons - ending in demise of that poor

c) retarded assholes that don't do objectives but instead run around gunning down everything for no good reason
