When will EA die?

I'm so fed up with EA. They make the same game over and over again, making tiny tweaks to it every time and they're not even any GOOD. NBA street 1 & 2 aside, they've never made anything remotely top-notch. Also they are bastards for hoarding all the rights to all the players.

The worst in my opinion is FIFA. It's just lazy and I don't care any more. Since 2000 they've consistently made the same constricting awful game.
Why oh why do people still buy their games? ESPECIALLY when they already have an earlier version of it anyway!!? Someone explain this mind-fuck to me.

EDIT: As this thread has actually had some responses to it (something which i didn't expect) I would like to clarify that I am talking about EA Sports, not EA.

I think EA has turned the corner now. I'll wait and see how Battlefields: Heros / 1943 / Bad Company 2 turn out before I make a judgement though. If BF: Heroes ever gets out of its eternal beta state.

I want the Sims to improve more, and Im looking foward to Sims 3, so I hope EA never dies so I can get what I want.

... If not a better company takes over the making of even more improved the Sims games, then it would be fine with me.

Uh... I don't know what rock you've been living under for the past year, but EA has actually put out quite a few innovative and experimental games in just the past year alone. They released Mirror's Edge, Deadspace, Spore etc.

Bioware is also a part of EA, they're responsible for KOTR and KOTR2, mass effect, never winter knights, and lots of other titles.

You're about 2 years too late to join the EA hate train. You should probably do some research before you start ranting about a company you apparently don't know anything about.

Also the entire battlefield series, barring bf2142 has been a huge success... it's a great series.

Not to mention the fact they picked up Brutal Legend when Activision dropped it when they realized they couldn't hash sequel from it. Doesn't really sound like EA does it?

No it really doesn't sound like the EA of yester year, they kind of changed over night. If you ask me Activision seem to be filling EA's old niche, what with their relentless whoring of the guitar hero franchise.
