i'm more than happy to give them a chance.Ollie596 said:I swear i read somewhere that EA are thinking new tactics so we really should give them some chance they made a few decent games and a load of shit ones but oh well its EA we can live with that!

i was really only talking about the sports games, but it appears they've been much more busy outside the sports genre than i realised.
Agreed; they are turning themselves around. look at thier line up of games recently and tell me you didn't respect EA for the effort they put into them: Dead Space, Mirrors Edge, Spore, Burnout Paradise and Skate 2.Internet Kraken said:I'm sick of people complaining about EA. Get over it.
I concur!Haxordude said:What with all of the hate towards EA just because yahtzee doesn't like EA doesn't mean you can't nor does it make it "cool" not to.
And also how the (naughty word) are they supposed to make a sports game drastically different from the last one THEY CAN'T CHANGE HOW THE (naughty word) SPORT IS PLAYED.

Are you kidding me?nathan-dts said:Agreed; they are turning themselves around. look at thier line up of games recently and tell me you didn't respect EA for the effort they put into them: Dead Space, Mirrors Edge, Spore, Burnout Paradise and Skate 2.Internet Kraken said:I'm sick of people complaining about EA. Your rant here is effectively about EA Sports, not EA in general. When you look at sports titles, there isn't much you can update from year to year, and in that light I actually think they do a good job thinking up new little things to put into each title. That being said, I am not a sports fan, so I don't play their titles that often (aside from the ones my friends have worked on, or the one I worked on myself).sokka14 said:I'm so fed up with EA. They make the same game over and over again, making tiny tweaks to it every time and they're not even any GOOD. NBA street 1 & 2 aside, they've never made anything remotely top-notch. Also they are bastards for hoarding all the rights to all the players.
The worst in my opinion is FIFA. It's just lazy and I don't care any more. Since 2000 they've consistently made the same constricting awful game.
Why oh why do people still buy their games? ESPECIALLY when they already have an earlier version of it anyway!!? Someone explain this mind-fuck to me.

The rest of EA is a solid entity that, like most companies, creates both outstanding, and subpar titles. Consider that Mass Effect, Boom Blox, the Battlefield series, Dead Space, and various other titles are all EA titles.
Take a moment to get off the "Hate EA" bandwagon and actually look at what the company releases and what their practices are, then come back with some valid arguments.
