I don't always get out of bed at night, but when I do, I use my phone's flashlight app instead of the room lights.

I also don't run, because the darkness is where I shine. It's nice being in the dark.
this sounded like the setup for one of those "most interesting man in the world" jokes, props for that, even if it was unintentional!

I hardly ever use the bathroom in the middle of the night, when I need to I'm usually sick and so lights will always be on. Also, my room is super close to the bathroom so I walk. But when I need to go into the dark basement when I'm home alone and I'm heading up stairs I run like the wind... my basement is creepy as fuck.

I walk. I'm used to moving around in the dark and staying quiet. I could walkthrough my entire house in pitch black and not hit anything, I've done it so many times.

Hell, I even piss in the dark, though I do turn the lights on for a millisecond to see if the toilet seat is up.

I got a lot of practice when I was 13-14 during my rebellious "I don't want to go to school because I'm depressed" phase, so I learned to wake up at night and move around to avoid my mother waking up.

Usually I stumble around kicking cats and punching the wall in the process.

When you've finished doing what you are doing, and you turn the lights off, do you run back, or just walk through the dark?
I'm not afraid of the dark, so I just walk back to my bed at normal pace.

The bathroom in my house is right across from my bedroom so if I am quick about I can get in empty my bladder and get back to bed in under a minute all in 100% total darkness so I can get back to sleep very easily.

depends on how much waking wakes me up if im still groggy enough to just get back into bed and conk out ill just walk to the bathroom have a wee n walk back if not ill wander of into the kitchen have a cigarette n browse about the internet till i feel ready to sleep again(after brushing my teeth ofcourse coz nobody wants to wake up to ashtray breath)
i never turn the lights on as all the white everywhere just gives me headaches
ah and if i have people staying over i warn them that if they hear me being up in the middle of the night and decide to come out for a chat i will be naked (dont think i know anyone who hasnt seen me naked yet tho,,so iguess thats a bit redundant)

I find it oddly comforting to have my eyes closed in perfect darkness - it takes away the reliance on my eyes and it feels oddly liberating: kind of secret and unseen.

Don't get me wrong, if I hear a clatter in the middle of the night and I'm in the house alone I start to spazz out just as much as the next guy, but when I'm just walking around my house in the dark with my hands against the wall, in perfect dark, with my eyes closed, I feel rather relaxed.

Then I walk into the cat and shit myself.

It was, I'm glad you caught it.

I walk at a normal speed, usually muttering something about those damn creepy pasta threads

I kind of stumble on my way to where ever I'm going, and stumble back. When I wake up I'm generally in a zombie like state. I can't tell you how many times I've tripped over a cat or stubbed my toes on things, simply because my eyes are barely open xD

I use my phone as a torch. It's dim enough not to cause horrible agony to my sleepy eyes, but bright enough that it'll make the Falmir shrink away in horror at the bright shinyness while I go for my blade.

Wake up.
Uncover.
Place feet on the ground.
Stand up.
Turn 90 degrees left.
Take a step.
Open door, quietly.
Take a step.
Turn 90 degrees left.
Open door.
Open eyes, proceed to pee.
Close the toilet, flush, wash hands.
Close eyes.
Pass the doors.

LE WILD JUMP TO BED AND FUCKING COVER WHOLE BODY AND TAKE AS LITTLE SPACE AS YOU CAN CAUSE DEMON IS COMING TO GET ME.

I have a couple of night light lamps near the floor of my room. Perfect for going up during the night, and the bathroom is just outside, it's excellent. Have to light the bathroom lamp though.

Silent as possible, I used to be afraid of the dark so I'd turn the hall light on, but I've gotten over my fear of the dark, so I can stalk in total darkness. the stairs though, from 16 years of pounding, creak really bad. So it's tough to be sneaky.

I move as quietly as friggin possible. If ive been to the toilet i will close and lock the door before flushing to catch as much noise as possible. I dont want to wake anyone up.

I walk, because there is stuff in the hall that I do not wish to trip over and it would wake up everyone else in the house. I can usually just get through the house by memory and listening.
