I'm 19, in my first month of university.

Made lots of new friends, workload is light (for the moment), the freedom compared to living at home is awesome, flatmates are all cool. Outside of that, got a laptop that plays games (I know, shocking), which is doubly awesome.

So life is pretty good right now.

Age 19, Freshman year in college (undecided major)out-of-state.
Had only a few close friends as I grew up now we're hundreds of miles apart from each other.
My family keeps in touch and sends me a bit of cash once a month.
Can't look a single girl in the eye due to my shyness.
Spend free time on Internet (laptop is my only close friend now)

I have a stable life for now, but the day-after-tomorrow ain't looking so good.

18, just transferred from a community college to a real university this semester. Making good grades (mostly), parents live two and a half hours away. Only made one friend so far in this town, and no girlfriend. But other than than that, things are going good.

18, in college and working full time as a bank teller for BB&T. I am studying to be an accounting/finance major so my bank job is perfect for that. I no longer live at home with my folks so that's pretty awesome, no complaints here.

17. Finishing up grade 12. No plans for the future, no one really close to me, and losing hope.
Currently living half time with my mother/step-father, and half time with my father. I wish it was full time with the latter, but that is not my decision right now.

Right now, I'm at a transition stage of my life. I'm almost a legal adult, and I feel way older as is. So the fact that I'm almost as old as I feel is refreshing.
Though as it stands right now, I'm not exactly happy. I certainly find joy in a lot of things, but I wouldn't call myself happy, or the least bit satisfied.

I'm 24, and for the most part, I'm happy.

I recently took a leap of faith and moved from my home state of Colorado (where I'd lived all my life, and where my entire group of friends and family are) to Illinois to be with my long-distance boyfriend.

Thus far, it's not bad... we're very happy together (and shocking people that I'd move 1000 miles to be with him). The worst part of being here is barely knowing anyone and working a job that requires me to be friendly to people who obviously hate me... and the homesickness. I've never experienced anything quite like it before, and didn't think I would.

I feel like a hick having moved out here sometimes, but my boyfriend is amazing. He supports my decision to go to college (although I haven't decided whether to attend one specific school over another), which is awesome.

33. Junior in college after a slacker incarnate existence as a Gen-X twentysomething. Really not happy with my life right now but optimistic about its direction and confident that things will turn out for the best with the right job, right girl, great house, swell kids, whole nine yards. It's what keeps me going during dark times in a situation which, if it were my permanent fate, would probably have driven me to suicide by now.

20. Sliding through part time college. Working with the band, playing our first show someplace other than Rhode Island (Maine),
Just watch out so that you dont run into any Stephen King books!
I'll actually be in Portland, so it's not even the scary part of Maine. But I'll keep my eyes peeled, all the same.

22 and boooored.

I am stuck in a horrifying routine. I am getting a job next week so my routine will be shattered but then I will be stuck in a different routine. Man, I really need a Manic Pixie Dream Girl right about now.

Just shy of 18, and in a generally stable life at the moment (things are going reasonably).

However, I'm ABSURDLY stressed right now with school and girls (mostly girls). I don't really want to get into it here, but it basically amounts to every woman in my life suddenly ceasing to make sense all at the same time. It's been a fun month.

I could go for a Manic Pixie Dream Girl as well...

On Topic: 22, have a good job and it is 100% in my hands to take my life where I want it, and I entirely plan on doing so.

edit: Oh man, forgot to answer the second question there. Yes.

21, in 3rd year uni.
Had to take a 3rd year in college cos I screwed up my first year. Feel pretty bad about that to this day

Am I happy with it. I have no idea. Ive had a fun enough time, but I am poor at maintaining friendships over long distances so Im out of touch with most of the people I knew 2 years ago. I went to college because I was expected to, Im at uni because I was expected to, and I have no idea where Im going after this.

My ambition for the moment. I want to go skydiving. Cant afford it -.- Most places say Im to heavy at 17 stone despite being within the "healthy" range on BMI due to my 6'6" height. Assholes...

29. Dropped out of uni, did menial work for a bit, then kicked myself and got a college diploma. Well employed (site supervisor/estimator for a moderately successful construction company), maybe work too much, but I enjoy the job a hell of a lot. Own a Tiburon, Suzuki SV650s sport bike, and my newest toy a Harley Night Rod. My relationships are limited to one-nighters, and I'm bloody thrilled about that. Watching my friends pair up and spawn makes me cringe. Started a tradition 2 years back to take one out-of-country trip per year. Overall, I'd say I'm at about an 8 on a 1-10 scale of happiness. (Well, maybe at 6 today cause I broke my finger yesterday, and it hurts like a *****)

tl;dr - 29, happy, broken finger :p

Hi all

So sitting here at 3:50 at night reflecting on my life so far, and wanted to know how others life's are going. and if you are happy with it?

To kick things off. I am 17. I left school in year 7, did home school, didn't really ever take it in.

I got kicked out of my house.(by my mother) for losing my temper and putting a hole in a wall. (done this a lot throughout my life). Long, LONG story short I am now at my dads (we DO NOT! get on and we never did (mum kicked him out when i was 13[for his anger funny enf])

|FUN FACT|
I had moved to my dad's for 1 and a half months. We had the biggest fight we have ever had.( and that my friends is truly something, considering the fights we have had in my life)I am amazed we didn't end end up punching each other.(it came very close to it and next time i think he or i will, and not to overreact but i can safely say it wont end in 1 or 2 punches. any way. I left 2 days later got on a plan back home 2 weeks later I'm back.

so ATM in my life i feel so numb. As in it all just means nothing, i just don't really care. I am not depressed, i just don't feel. I couldn't care less if i live or die. I think I'm just biting time till I'm 18 moved out and can drink my self to sleep so i can stop thinking and get to sleep for once. idk it all fucked up.

So... how is it going for you?
I know how you feel.

I'm seventeen, in high school, and mad as hell. Since high school began, I have been constantly harrassed by idiots for refusing to get involved in the usual high school bullshit. This has led to several very violent outbursts by me (one of which led to the hospitalization of the other party). I guess I'm a pretty violent person. I am constantly angry, and I have a very negative outlook on life. But overall, I have a pretty easy life. I just can't wait to get out of high school, and get into the Marines.

I'm 15, which means that I'm growing as a person, doing stupid shit, finding my path in life, and trying to feed my sexual appetite with something more than my right hand.

As for happiness: It isn't perfect or fair all the time, but I rather like it. Being a teenager means I get more free time and less obligations, so it suits me fine.
