OK, in my opinion(Feel free to disagree), Super Mario Galaxy on the Wii was the best Mario game so far.
But the question now is where do Nintendo take the next game?
Post any ideas you have =]

I think all the games were good, but as I honestly am a graphic obsessed person, and I love Rosalina, I kind of agree.
Well, maby they'll go to the bottom of the sea. Maby they make a kind of "kingdom hearts" mix thing. I honestly have no idea.

nintendo's only new ideas are billions of shite casual games, i prefer having a really good mario game every 6 years then hundred terrible new games

Outside the universe. And make a new idea. Reusing ideas is just going to be the death of the series, considering how old it already is (fine, Mario Kart is the main exception...).

I think there is a lot of unexplored potential in the gameplay elements introduced in Galaxy. Much like Sunshine was a large expansion upon the ideas in Super Mario 64, I think a Galaxy 2 should take the challenge and world design to completely insane levels. I would also like to see a return to a more open-ended design, with large worlds rather than small planets connected by linear pathways.

Mario as a doctor, new to the profession he ignores the amoral practice prioritizing "important" patients putting the life of a child first, he saves the child but his other more important patient dies.

Mario sticks by his decision, thinking for the next few years that no matter what else happens, he did the right thing, until some ten years later a young man visits him, spiraling his life into a cycle of violence and murder with seemingly no end.

What is the mystery of this young man?

Mario sets out to unravel the tangled web in his greatest adventure yet.

It can be called "Monster Mario".

Let's see if I can make Yahtzee's eyes, ears, and belly-button bleed with THIS little prophecy: Time Travel.

Maybe he could do what Zelda did with twilight Princess A Link to the Past and have a dark world and a light world.
Fixed it for you.

They've already had a Mario game with a Light World and Dark World...to an extent.

It's called Super Paper Mario

As long as we're talking beating franchises into the ground, how about Mario and Sonic in the Mushroom Kingdom? Bonus points for finding an excuse for Olympic-style minigames (and people wonder why I don't own a Wii!)
