Well, this thread was going to be about Morrowind but I figured why limit yourself? If it is in Minecraft or something like that please, feel free to post a picture.

Where did you make your home base in Morrowind, and any other game where it is possible to do so?

I took over the prison in Vivec, you know, the one floating over the palace in a giant meteor. I had soooooooo much loot in there.

Not much intresting here in my case. I took over Caius Cosades's house after that half-naked skooma adict moved from the town. Decorated it with red lanterns and ash statues.

In general, I always look for anywhere that has a tactical advantage (regardless of whether it matters or not), usually on high ground. And in Minecraft, I ended up doing the same thing, only when I had finally built my castle, I decided to tear away what was left of the underlying mountain.

House floating in the sky = best tactical advantage period.

I used the assassins headquarters once I became the grand master, until I finished the quest chain it was more for practical reasons, those enemy assassin hitmen could be quite a pain.

I used the house I got from being in...House Redoran I think. The one in the first city. It's been a long time since I've played. XD

Eh, for Oblivion, I just tend to use the cheapest, most run-down houses. So the (Imperial City Waterfront) shack, and the other shack in Bravil >.>
But anyway, the place I made my home base in Minecraft >
I'm working on adding a new compartment to the far end. Well, I was, before I started on the wind farm >.>

New Vegas:A shack in goodsprings (a mod) complete with the corpse of a creepy stalker in the bath!

Minecraft:I find a cave with coal in...I build a door... place torches...I have a house...Dwarf POWER

VTMB: Tremere House in downtown

For some reason I thought this would be an Xcom thread :/

Dwarf Fortress I like to actually dig up through a mountain and have the main fortress part in an outcrop with a grand view..... then the flying things turn up and "fun" ensues.

That's Balmora, for House Hlaalu. Redoran's Manor is in the middle of nowhere.

I always used the Yurt mod in Morrowind so I could drop my house some place and go adventuring and coming back and when I progressed in the game or had to go on a long trip I could just take it with me.

Only thing InvEdited in was the staggering amount of glass as well as diamond tools. Everything else was dug out by hand. About 1/4 of the platform still needs to be finished and I lost interest for a while and built a living area on the tower part, gonna have to raise it a bit since it is in the clouds. After that is finished I'm going to keep adding progressively larger and higher rings until it forms a bowl that hits the clouds.

I'm gonna need a lot more dirt.

I always make my base in a mountain on Minecraft.

Morrowind, had a mod that gave me a house that sorted items i had, or I lived in Seyda Neen.

Most of the time I use the house they give you in games.

In Morrowind i murdered that stupid Cat-man (Khajit?) trader in Balmora and took his house for my own. Then i went to a nearby village and murdered him for an obsidian longsword. Good times.

In minecraft i built a floating house. No fucking creepers ambushing me.

Battlehorn castle in Oblivion. Had stuff in every single Cabinet and all cupboards and shizzle were full of stuff.

Anvil for me. I mean, you clear a place of an ancient curse and you kind feel attached to the joint, ya know? Plus, I like living by the sea.

In X-COM, I usually went for the Middle East or Italy for my bases.

And In GTAIV, I live in Playboy's old place. Rooftop hot tub FTW.

In Minecraft, I tend to like cliffs and vertical structures rather than horizontal ones, for some reason. My current base in my main world is fairly small, but it's high up on a cliff, only accessible by ladders or some fancy jumping up that I don't think the NPC AI can do.

My new base, however, is being built entirely out of glass and white wool (with a few minor embellishments in wood and gold) and floats over a very deep spot in a nearby sea. It's only accessible by ascending a waterfall, so good luck with that, evil mobs.

What can I say, I'm paranoid...
