Well, this thread was going to be about Morrowind but I figured why limit yourself? If it is in Minecraft or something like that please, feel free to post a picture.

Where did you make your home base in Morrowind, and any other game where it is possible to do so?

I took over the prison in Vivec, you know, the one floating over the palace in a giant meteor. I had soooooooo much loot in there.

Novac was my base in New Vegas

That's where I kept a crap-ton of weapons, ammo, food, ect. It worked well for me.

I found a perfect place in Oblivion. Exit Cheydinhal, and walk down the road, watching your right-hand side. About a minute later, you should see a small pool of water with some imps. Walk up to it, and you'll see several waterfalls flowing into one.
It's tranquil. My home base.

Near the sea in MC so i can have my Hemp and Wheat Farm (Better then Wolves mod is aswome) + its in a cliff face so yay!.

Anvil in Oblivion. big manor 5k gold and a boss battle whats not to love.

Novac in New Vegas cus getting to the strip is a pain in the ass

Megaton, cus it has more storage and is a massive quest hub and central point with easy travel to everywhere

In morrowind usually balmora, it's just the most practical spot especially early on. Sometimes I'd switch to a cooler spot later on but it's kind of a hassle.
Oblivion: everywhere and nowhere. I usually end up with multiple houses and secret stashes.

Fallout 3 it was My Megaton House. Oblivion is was Battlehorn (may switch to FrostCrag Spire. New Vegas it was Lucky 38.

Notice these are all Bethesda games . . . or at least Bethesda owned.

Yeah, for the longest time I used Novac as well. It's much easier to get into than the Lucky 38. The Old World Blues DLC gives you a rather easily accessible house with some nice stuff though.

In Morrowind, I remember doing that one quest at the beginning where you fought a guy in his house in the starting town without getting in trouble. (I think the one with the dead tax collector) After killing him, I used that house as my base.

Balmora in Morrowind, Megaton in Fallout 3, Lucky 38 in Fallout: New Vegas, and the hilltop where I first spawned in Terraria.

With my first Fallout 3 character it was the Megaton house, with the other one it was Tenpenny Tower and with my most recent one it's Minefield.

In New Vegas I used Lucky 38 for a while, but it was a pain in the ass to go through all the loading screens just to drop off some stuff, so I moved to a dumpster in Goodsprings, which I recently abandoned in favor of the trash can in front of Gun Runners.

An extended, heavily modded version of the bitchin' crib House gives you in Vegas. The vanilla version was very damp, dark and depressing for some reason, so I got a mod that really spruced the place up, added workbenches, sitting rooms and even an over-exaggerated wide screen TV!

Downsizing due to the recession. Sound economic sense there!

OT:

In Oblivion I always used the Imperial City house, the others were just for show. The shack has all I need - a chest for clothes, one for armour, one for weapons and one for stuff.

In Fo3 it was ALWAYS Megaton, I'm one of those softies who gets squeamish about the 'kill your sister for purely material gain' bit in Fable, or (in this case) 'kill a whole town for purely material gain'.

New Vegas is Novac because I like the place, and it's close to the front lines so (as I always RP as NCR) I am always on hand to lend assistance at Folorn Hope/Recaptured Nelson.

In MC, I don't know. It was under a waterfall but I've just begun a new map so it could go anywhere.

Greyditch or whatever the place with the giant fire ants is in Fallout 3. The old diner near where the kid hides, there's a nuka cola machine in there with everything a man could need.

In Baldurs Gate there's was a specific chest in every city where I'd hide heavy shit that I wanted to keep but couldn't hold if I wanted to carry everything around.

I also had a chest in the Blacksmith in Beregost where I stored heavy stuff that wasn't immediately neccesary (ankheg corpes etc.)

Minecraft I tend to build in caves near water or on top of mountains. I've renently started making beach houses too. They seem fun.

I have an igloo on the PC in the break room where my girlfriend use to work. One of her bosses had a kid who came in a bunch on holidays and he'd put minecraft on the PC and seeing as I hung out there while waiting for her to finish (It was a family business and I make good coffee) I made shit in minecraft.

Tenpenny Tower in F3 - 'A grand display of fireworks can be seen from the balcony!' ;)

In Morrowind I took over a small island in the top north-east section of the map. I can't remember what it was called but I think it was a smuggler base and there was always a re-spawning rat in the lower level.

Lockpicking Dalosa Athrens house in Balmora, then claiming it for my own.

No you can't have it back, it belongs to me now.

Morrowind: Hero's Hovel mod (1.0, not 2.0). Near Vivec (the city I hate the most, but oh well). Putting every piece of new armor onto an Armor Mannequin in the basement, and arraying weapons on the tables, for a nice arsenal collection.

in age of mythology, any place that can be:
walled
has plenty of a rescource
surrounded by water ( hates catapaults)
where I can place tons of migdol strongholds
