"Do you remember me, Mr. Harrison? Tetris. Coney Island. 1985. A stand-up arcade game, on a busy Saturday afternoon. I was a nobody then, minding my business, when you sent a column-block down the side of the crowd and pushed me into oblivion. If you're ready to kill a block, Harrison, you'd best be ready to finish the job."

Nowhere I suspect. I've never been privy to the code driving it all, but considering the limited memory, lack of network capability (or even widespread access to a network at the time) and general low tech involved with the NES, I suspect the bit of code that calculates one's score simply deletes the data entirely.

They asplode and cease to exist.
What is an 'asplosion'?
For that matter, what is a "left hand sock"? Do you wear socks on your hands? How delightfully odd.

Were it in my power, I would declare you the winner of the thread.

What is that originally from? I've been wondering that for some time now.

Work damage. We design everything on the 'Right Hand Side'. All 'Left Hand Side' parts are symmetrically opposite. So, in my head, it comes naturally to say left hand glove, left hand cross-member, left hand sock etc. Yes, I know my wiring may be flawed, but that is just how it is.

Also, I am waiting with trepidation for an explanation about the asplosion.

They go into my nightmares. That's why I have been up until 3AM every night this week.

They are broken down and turned into new blocks. There are only actually 1000 blocks in the world, they just hop back and forth from game to game so fast they seem to be solid. When a line is full, they disappear because they are too crowded and like some space. Thus they are broken down because of selfish desire for space. This all happens as they are going from game to game. Feel better now?

They're reincarnated into new blocks that have learned from their mistakes and come at you faster than the last time.

They get reincarnated into other shaped blocks, going through the endless cycle of Tetris whenever someone starts again.

The only way they can escape this endless cycle is by realising that their blockness is an illusion, all really 1s and 0s. Eventually they will reach enlightenment and be free from the cycle of Tetris.
