Steam!

If I can't get something on Steam I get it from www.zavvi.com, but if I don't want to wait a week (or longer) for the delivery from UK to Australia I'll buy from some Aussie online store instead.

Steam for PC (solely PC gamer). I occasionally buy from other stores like EB games or Game if there is some kind of sale that is just unmissable..

Back home, I'd go to Best Buy, Game Crazy(before it closed down), Game Stop, Wal-Mart, and sometimes EB Games. Here, my only option is the mall. There really aren't any established game stores here in Costa Rica. At least, none I can think of.
Well... not famous stores or aything, but there are videogame stores... with mostly pirated games though XD

I buy my PC games digitally, usually through Steam, sometimes through D2D. For my console games, I used to go to Wal Mart until the GameStop opened here. Now any game I want I preorder from there. Same for Steam for games that are available.

Which is a damn shame. It's like they don't care about what piracy does to the industry.

Kind of. They hae to make a living anyway, and the market here does not work with 80 to 90 dollar games. Besides we are a small population, the world market isn't affected by us.
If games were worth what they are in the US, I'm sure piracy wouldn't be as popular here :S

50% GAME: I buy the majority of my games here because A. buying a game from a local store is more convenient, and B. because I have a loyalty card from the store. It only gives me about 2.5% of my spendings back, ultimately, but it's certainly better than nothing.
30% GameStop: Sometimes, I find that GameStop stocks games that my local GAME stores (both very small) can't fit. Or GameStop is undercutting prices, which my wallet appreciates. So I buy a bit there, as well.
20% imports, usually from Play.com or Amazon.com: Because quite a few games (either older or more obscure titles) simply aren't available in local stores. The last game I picked up online was Psychonauts, which I bought used off Amazon. Game is simply too old and semi-obscure to be stocked in any local store.
