Brilliant, why didn't I think of playing as the Partisans (russian "militia" for lack of a better word)? That could make WWII interesting. And the movie's Defiance, I think.

I'd be excited for a futuristic shooter. Don't get me wrong - I too have had my fill of lasers and spaceships - but I'd love to play something taking place during a made-up war thirty or forty years in the future, especially if Infinity Ward was doing it.

Call of Duty: Third Reich, you could play as the Germans fighting from Poland to Arnhem, they could show that not all Germans were evil Super Nazis
Also, this. I come from German heritage (my grandfather was with the Wehrmacht actually) and he was just a soldier doing his job, but thanks to Western media I still get flak for having a "Nazi murderer" for a gramps. Something that could change this would be awesome.

I got another one. World War I! Throw a curve ball into the mix, baby.
Hell yes! That would be awesome.
It would! Brits could use the first tank, Germans could play as the Red Baron, and everyone else would be in trenches! Trenches are a relatively untapped combat resource.

just for kicks and giggles

Make a call of duty that is like planetside, that works. I loved planetside for the simple fact that you have hundreds verses hundreds or ground troops, with dogfights going on in the air above you, tanks and stuff moving their way into the forts and stuff...yah...gooodddd times...
Cept make it better then that game.
Although they might as well call it a totally different game...

I am going to repeat what I have been saying since Call of Duty 4 came out.

Call of Duty: Zombie Warfare.

I am completly serious about this. It could be set in Russia. Admittedly it could be any country, I chose Russia, it's a big country and it would seem easy enough to hide the truth from other countries. Something could happen in Russia which puts the goverment on edge. "Riots" begain breaking out and another country (America, Britan) sends in a team to find out whats going on. That would be where it begins (unless you want to start as a scientist or a guard) but they don't know what their up against and are unprepared for such a threat. You could also play as a Russian trooper fighting the threat as it spreads. (of course once the other countries find out they will have to help them stop the spread of the virus) Of course anyone wounded would have to be executed with would make for some tense moments. (I am unsure if the main character should be bound to this rule or if they just "never get bit" like in Resident Evil)

I still don't know whether to use fast or slow Zombies though. I like slow Zombies better but you would think they could be easily stoped by a well armed military.

Rwanda or Darfur please.

I'd like to see a title run with the M rating and make a game set in the middle of a genocide. Some sort of "you start in the middle of the country" and "you have to make it to the border" story would be fun.

Call of Duty: Gaza Strip. You'd alternate between massacring enemies with massive tanks and airstrikes and being the fool throwing rocks at the massive tanks while dodging the airstrikes. Yeesh.

(For the record, I'm not taking sides; the whole thing is a moral black hole. I don't think even Infinity Ward is "edgy" enough to have a mission where you play a suicide bomber killing a busload of people going to work in the morning.)

SPACE, the final frontier.

Actually as long as the game is original and does not include a single Nazi, then I'll be happy. Unless it's WWI, that really is an untouched genre.

How about Captain Price, Gaz, and Soap end up in the World War Z conflicts? Think about it. The book takes place around 2010. They have similar technology. And since they technically won't be copying the WWZ book they can just change the whole damned thing. Your on the run in the Middle East while being chased by zeds. You meet up with some Russians and decide to barricade a building. In the end you get chased out by a civilian helicopter which was fortunate enough to take a minigun from its previous owner. People die and your still on the run. Things happen and then the game ends.

Yeah, it is called defiance. = ) I mean, if CoD HAS to be done over and over, they should at least make the games from all the different points of view. It's just that all the games play from the perspective of the Brits or the Americans...like they always do. Maybe it would be better if that particular element of CoD changed. Might keep the series alive for a little bit longer :p

Being the spaniard dude that I am, I'd like to see a spanish civil war game. Although that would be pointless. In truth, I can only see where franchises always end up going after some sequels, and that is, obviously into space. And that is seriously uncool. I do hope though, that once WW2 has been grinded into invisible powder, we will start thinking about other wars. Maybe a game that had lots of different major battles from different wars could work, it would mean a hell more variety. But then, the developers would try to link those situations somehow, and therefore deminishing the very concept of a story.

I agree strongly here, wouldn't it be hilarious to see the Americans make a game where you play as the Irakis? Oh, that would be so hilariously delicious! (At least they managed to make CoD WaW from the perspective of the Russians, that's gotta count for something)

That WOULD be an interesting take on the WW's. Either that or they could go even further back in time and do a kind of Assasins Creed-type thing by doing CoD-the crusaders warfare....or something like that :S

Call of duty: The great battles of France
oh wait...

Actually anything...ANYTHING else, as long as it's not WWII again.
