Yeah, CoD could indeed go in to space but...prepare to have your socks knocked off.....
CALL OF DUTY: GRENADA!!!!

...

Mary Queen of Scots, no but if they're going to do WW1 then Infinity Ward has its work cut out for them. Who can forget the battle of the Argonne Forest, or Belleau Wood (since Infinity Ward has a hard on for Marines). The First World War is much less understood by the general public than the Second and furthermore it would be extremely difficult to get anyone but history buffs into the game. Just like you've got to be a sports buff to play sports video games nowadays.

Hmm,
Well its not like they don't have a wealth of things to pick from.
Not knowing COD that well I don't know whether they'll have done all of these or not.
Although for some of these they'd have to not use America which I'm sure they couldn't bear;
Vietnam, Korean War, Russian Civil War - Reds vs Whites, Spanish Civil War, Galipoli (sp?), Espionage combat based in Vichy France, Afghanistan, Iraq... I can't think of anymore but I'm sure theres plenty.

I'm not making this up. There are rumors out there about a COD game that takes place twenty or so years in the future. It doesn't sound like Infinity Ward, but they might do it.
That would be awesome

Call of Duty 6: Post-Modern Warfare. Soldier get to test out new experimental technology on the front lines. They get sticky grenades and laser-guided missiles, and guns that can cut people's legs off.

Use Viruses to weaken the enemy, rickroll them for massive damage, and creat flame wars in forum battle grounds!

How about the revolutionary war?

I seriously played an old Counter Strike MOD based on the revolutionary war... it was hillarious seeing everybody use modern FPS tactics with single fire muskets that were horribly inaccurate.

I miss that game.

I just thought id let you know www.bgmod.com its the revolutionary war mod its still around. some players not too many.

And as for Call of duty i would like to see it go in to space or least some part of the future.

I know there have been Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 topics in the past, but I really want to know where the series goes beyond that. Call of Duty is getting up there in sequel numbers, so can Infinity Ward keep crafting a new FPS each year? What wars should be done? Any new perspectives from which the game should be played? Should the series move to the future? Should they axe the series before there is a Call of Duty 10? Just some thoughts on where the series goes after Modern Warfare 2.
into space

I would hope not. I'm not interested in the futuristic shooter at all.
Can you explain me why? Whats the difference between shooting pixelated bad guys from the present or pixelated bad guys from the future? If the game is good, its good. Future or not.

Edit: oh yeah, almost forgot; Either way, its fiction anyway.
I really don't know why, but I just can't get into shooter set in the future. Halo, for example, I find extremly boring and nearly impossible to play. I made it through the first mission in Halo 3 before I took it back and got a different game. I know it's not a solid reason, but hey, it's just my opinion.

I really liked COD 4. I thought the story was good, the missions interesting, the weapons were great, and the overall finish was superb. I would not mind a second interation of COD 4.

I think call of duty medieval warfare would be great, i have yet to see a good first person mmo "shooter" held in medieval times. This would be great! It could have sword combos and you would have to learn certain button combinations for blocks (parrys), it would also have bows and good castle based battles, it could have game modes such as seige where one team trys to get in while the other repels them. Something along those lines would be great! It should definately be brought to their eyes!

The last thing the gaming world needs is another Halo or futuristic FPS. Theres already more than enough out there. Vietnam would be cool but another Middle East setting would suit me.

Add another involving plot, throw in some characters that I can become attatched to and keep that good old COD4 multiplayer magic.
