I wouldn't mind WW1, actually. It is a really untouched setting (Not counting Red Baron) that could have some promise.
The exciting adventures of sitting in a trench shooting at people while you die of gangrene!

Edit: My vote is Call of Duty: Animal Warfare.

The Capitalist pigs versus the Communist bears. I don't know. Though PETA will flip at the animal on animal fighting.

American Indian Wars could be okay. They at least had decent rifles.
And bows are so much better than rifles.

No, I think it would be a disgrace to even keep mentioning something like that.

"O hai. Wanna try some maize?"

"Gtfo, were taking ur lands."

"*Sadface*"
It was kind of a joke. The natives had rifles too by this point, by the way.

well it falls to treyarch to make the CoD game of 2010 if the approach that Activision has been using stays the same, and they kinda hinted at maybe W@W being the last WWII CoD game by covering the end of both fronts, I hope they make a Tom Clancy esque sci-fi shooter, and then IW stops with unbalanced stuff

I would actually love to see more fantasy history... like what if Japan won the war and were now pressing onto the European campaign finishing up what the Germans failed to do?

There's a lot of potential there.

thing about the first world war was that the people who did the shooting really didn't do an awful lot - sit in trenches with your head ducked, occaisionally chucking/chucking back/losing limbs to a grenade, and then huge mass frontal assaults 10 minutes after the diversionary tactic has taken place (yes mr haig/hague, i can't remember, fuck you for those unnecesary lives lost) -_-

It seems wierd, I don't think they've gone after COD4 or COD:WOW for killing dogs...or have they?

how the crap did they manage that? I could understand maybe if Germany was still alive, russia had collapsed when the germans attacked, and the japanese conquer china, but the USA would have required a very difficult war to full on conquer. (hey, maybe they should do it so that germany has taken europe, japan asia, america america, and australia and africa fuck around doing nothing(And no one discovered nukes.(or ICBM's in general(or biological weapons(hmm)))).

But seriously, from many opinions I've heard on the games, and considering going back to WW2 is retarded, I'd say:

Call of Duty 6: Modern Warfare 2

or

Call of Duty 6: We Go Back in Time to Stop Bush from Taking up Presidency

or

Call of Duty 6: Let's Try Playing the War From Someone Else's Point of View Hmm?
Lmao! I like your style mate! ^_^ I see your an Arby fan too? :D

It should stop being a war game. It should be about the duties of just being an ordinary citizen, like Call of Duty: Construction Foreman. You would have to attend to your duties managing your workers, communicating with your contractor and even your client. You could order supplies in a mini-game. Set a work schedule for a certain amount of workers around holidays, staying away from overtime, and getting the job done by the deadline in another mini-game. You could even help build in another. If there's faulty work, you could fire employees in another. There could be a paperwork level. There could even be a vehicle section in a bulldozer.

Well okay. But it's kind of a bad joke. Besides the only reason they got rifles was that they were screwed in trades and the rifles were meant to kill other natives.
No they had rifles because they were far more powerful at hunting than any other weapon, hell most of the Native American warriors were better equipped than the US army.

But a COD game based on that war would suck, the guns were just too inaccurate.

I completely forgot about that. Good point, but it's probably because they haven't played them, and killing dogs isn't the main point of the game, nor is it really advertised on the box.

A World War One Call of Duty would be pretty cool.
Agreed. The haphazardness of the brand new weapon technology combined with the novelty of an underused war would be pretty sweet. Also, it'd be much easier for the developers to justify playing as the Italians/German/Austro-Hungarians.
