My parents feeding me on a steady stream of British humour (I refuse to leave off the "u" even though I am America) as a child. Also, being subjected to the numerous people in America who just don't "get it."
Also my extreme cynicism doesn't hurt.
Also, the fact that ten years ago I was ridiculed for enjoying comic books and other so called "nerdy ventures" and now they are starting become the cool things the like. The so called "geek chic" is annoying. I have been ridiculed my entire life for enjoying comic books and things along those lines, but now it is "cool."
I guess you could say I have just become a bitter old man and sarcasm is my coping mechanism
Hmm, I cant exactly answer that, theres been too many things that influenced it, I believe watching Blackadder and Red Dwarf at an early age had something to do with it. It also acts as a fine defence mechanism against idiots, always served me well.
Daria was my hero through most of my early teenage years.
Yeah, guess the results.
Of course, some time after, I realized the negative effects of such sociopathic behaviour and became a serious positive person who doesn't even grasp the idea of sarcasm.
It's funny 'cause what I'm saying is not actually true! Ohohohohoh!
I got it from my dad and brothers with a little help from my extended family. Thank you guys for the gift of SARCASM! The best gift for a child of the Twenty First century
