Where should the settting be for another Fallout game?

As I'm too lazy to read all posts to see if it's been suggested already or not, New York. Who doesn't want to climb 30 story buildings all the time?
Or maybe LA, or San Fran. Or Miami?
An alternative could be to go North to good ol' Canada, shoot up some ghouls in Toronto, watch some super muties playing baseball in the Rogers Centre

Hows about Detroit, Michigan? maybe being right next to Canada could offer some interesting factors in the story and in the game play. For instance:

Canada didnt want to get mixed in to all the stuff USA got itself into and so they blockaded the border and wouldnt let americans in. Fast forward to the time of game play and you have a barrier. Rememeber how in fallout 3 how the mall was closed off by debris from the city and you could only get in through a subway tunnel?

The US invaded Canada shortly before the war so they wouldn't really be in a position to set up a blockade would they?

Cool idea, but in the Fallout universe, just before the bombs were dropped, the US annexed Canada.

Oh yea, I forgot, well screw it, Detroit would still offer a unique topographic area. And besides, it would make sense to be a shooter RPG. Its Detroit for heaven sake! THEY HAVE GUNS and enough of them to arm the security personnel of all of Paris! ok bad example, but you get my drift. Lol

You guys want to kill the game. Only US had the Vaults(tha VAULTS,Vault-Tec Vaults, the game is based around these not something else) and Super Mutants, as far as I know they're not good swimmers.

I would like to see it set in the Capital Wasteland but set a(n undisclosed) number of years later. Just to see the differences between the current Wasteland and the... future wasteland... well... more future. Imagine Megaton as a city etc.

EDIT: Somewhat like Fallout 1 + 2.

How about the ruins of Tokyo? All the cast aside big buildings would be cool. But then again, someone would say 'World war 2' jokes everywhere.
Well, seems that Las Vegas is still a fun way to go. Would Yellowstone Park be different after a nuclear blast? Yao Guai everywhere, I'm sure.

Agreed. I want to see the Enclave or whatever the opposing enemies would be have the Great Wall as their base.

Not to mention that you get to see the war in Alaska from the enemy's point of view.

I think the UK in general, think of Edinburgh, it already has the underground city, The Vaults, Mary Kings Close etc. Would make an interesting place.

Something in a big city. D.C. was the closest thing to one in Fallout 3, yet most of it was metros. I remember the most fun part of STALKER was fighting through Pripyat.

I think the 'settting' should be London. 28 Days Later showed me the potential it had as a post-apocalyptic landscape, and it has plenty of landmarks to show, just maybe not as many as Washington DC. Or New York, because that hasn't been done to death, right?

Fallout Tokyo would be epic, I think.

No prizes for guessing where Fallout: New Vegas is to be set, but Project V13 looks like it's going to be Seattle.
