I'm pretty sure it's done... they just forgot about it since it's been so long.
Valve employee 1: "Hey what the hell is this?"
Valve employee 2" "Shit I don't remember any Half-Life games that I've worked on. Just delete it."

Gabe's busy saving orphans from a burning building.

But seriously, be patient. Valve has showed us time and time again that their games are masterpieces, and that they'll be worth the wait. In the mean time I've been replaying the series. They've recently added achievements and I've been working on those as well. I got all but two achievements for HL2 on the first play through.

I feel like threads like this are kind of targets for assholes. The sarcastic responses are fun, the positive responses are fine, and then people have to be dicks and yell at anyone who asks this question, for this or any game (I'm looking at you D4zZ). The point of the thread is so bleeding obvious (seeing as the title literally asks the question of the thread) that avoiding it should be easy. If you come here to complain, then you're just looking to complain.

OT: I'll wait forever, but there is a limit to basic patience.

"Where the hell is the next Half-life?"

Sitting on a database in Valve's HQ. Well most of it anyway.

Isn't that kind of a Duke Nukem answer? ^^
No not really because ValVe usually know what they're doing and simply want to make sure everything is just so while 3D Realms was run by a bunch of under-evolved monkeys whose brains hadn't developed enough to realise that changing the games engine when the game was almost finished was (if you'll parden the amorous language) f*cking retarded.

Episode 2 was the last episode.

Wherein Eli is killed, and everything fades to black as it's revealed that the entirety of Half-Life 2 was a dream of his.

It's hidden in the Episode 2 and is unlocked once you complete a certain Locked Achievement. (Sorry, that was just a joke).

They have left it too long in my humble opinion.

I lost interest after the huge break between ep 1 and 2. Let alone this one.

NEW RULE:
Every time you say "When will the next Half-Life come out?" the game will be delayed another year.

Oh look, it's this thread... Again.

Grow some patience, be thankful it won't take as long as Starcraft II has.

You know the other day I fantasized Valve releasing The Orange Box 2 at E3. With Portal 2, HL2:EP3 and maybe launching the engineer update on the same day.

Now if that did happen I would dance around squealing with fangirl glee and probably faint.
