I didn't hear about it until a few days after.
My Dad told me.
Wow, how the hell is that possible?! Almost every big TV network broadcasted about it pretty much 24/7. Not to mention the internet and almost any other news source.
England, man. And I didn't have the internet back then, or watched the news.

I was in my third grade classroom watching it on the news.
It was pretty intense to see that all go down (hehe pun) randomly one day.

My mums friend Jen worked in the trade centre and didn't go in that day because she had a hangover. Every year she has a margarita party to commemorate. No jews went into work that day...

I think I was in sixth grade or so. We got to skip art class to watch TV coverage of it. Aside from the loss of life, I really didn't think it was such a catastrophe as the news made it out to be, so I pissed my teachers off by barely even pretending to pay attention.

I was in second grade, wondering why the teachers were worried they would try to crash a plane into our school in New Hampshire.

I had just gotten home from school, I was something only six or seven at the time, all I was thinking was:
"When will the cartoons comeback on?" For me it wasn't a big deal, and no one really talked about it where I live, it's not until years later that I even started to care.

I was at school, but we went home early and we weren't told why. I got home and turned on the TV and saw it and I was like WTF (I was in second grade at the time so I didn't know what happened)

I was in my 3rd year at college, attending a class on deontology.

My first thoughts were 'holy crap!' and 'I wonder whose ass is going to get trounced for that?'.

I just came home from school, mum was sleeping on the sofa cos she had been doing a night shift. I sat on the edge of the couch, BBC or some channel was on, and two big buildings had smoke coming out of them and the headline was something like, "two terrorists crash into world trade center"
I was a bit confused. Mum woke up and thought it was a dream until she saw me there.

We had the day of from school for some reason, so I was at home watching TV.
My program was interrupted by a special news bulletin, and I remember I was literally stunned when I saw the second plane smash into the tower.

I was fighting the final boss on Sonic adventure 2 when the planes hit. I remember my bro nagging me to come and look at the TV during the ending cutscene. At first I thought it was some weird movie he'd found....

I was at home, shortly after school, my dad and I had just begun putting the new bed for my room together...
Then my mother came in and told us what had happened.
We went to the living room and watched the smouldering first tower on a news channel.
While we were watching the second plane hit the WTC.
That was 8 years ago, but I'll never forget that sight.
It felt so unreal, like watching a bad movie.

My school basically locked everyone down in our classes. The only way you could get home was to have your parents bring you home. Some people stayed pretty late that day.
