I was sleeping. My parents woke me up to tell me, then I went back to sleep. Then they woke me up when the second plane hit and I stayed awake that time. Then I went to school where everyone was running around like chickens without their heads.

It was tragic, yes, but there was no sense in freaking out in my opinion.

You bastard, you stole my thread!

But the stupid search bar doesn't work, and google isn't turning anything up, so I guess it's your thread question now, as I have no proof I ever made a thread like that.

That being said, I was in 1st grade.

First day of kindergarden.
Was in brooklyn, thank god my parents made it out of there alive.

We then proceded to go BACK to broadway to see if we could salvage our stuff.

after recieving a "No" from the officer, we went to brooklyn and had a nice lunch.

I do say, 9/11 was a pretty good day for me. Being 5 and all.

Where were you... when they built the ladder to heaveeen?

Down in Australia in the 6th grade I woke up to watch my morning cartoons and then I just saw people freaking out on the streets... it occurred to me I was no longer watching digimon.

First period...Economics or Business or...something like that. We had a TV in our classroom so we just sat around and watched it all unfold on the news. I remember hearing about it on the radio in the parking lot of my school, when they still thought it was a small charter plane or something.

I remember I was in middle school math class. Either my teacher had turned the tv on or it was already on. I also remember my teacher was all sad 'cause either someone she knew or was related to was there in NY.

Why would the mods think this too strong of a thread? Seriously if you wouldn't be able to talk about it now you might as well get some counseling.

OT
I was outside on the football field for my morning class in high school. Then pretty much the rest of the day was followed by watching it on tv in every single class and about every other teacher saying "The world will never be the same. You just watch you're watching history unfold."

2nd grade, school, didn't understand. Not exactly sure why it's important that we know where we were during the event, but whatever.
Does it have to be?

And for the record, September 11th 2001 was on a Tuesday, not Wednesday.
This might have something to do with the fact that I'm in Europe, I'm fairly confident it was a wednesday evening when I heard the news. This is because we used to be free from school earlier on wednesdays and I spent the afternoon doing offline stuff on my PC. Could be wrong though, I guess.

This thread has been done several times. But on topic. I was busy not caring.
Links? I searched for "9/11", "where were you 9/11", "where were you nine eleven" and "where were you WTC". Got nothing relevant.

Fair enough. In the states it was on a Tuesday. The news might not have reached you until Wednesday though. Stupid time zones.

Haha, I kind of hate you for making me laugh and feel like an insensitive asshole.

On topic, I don't really remember.
