I may have moved my desk. This may be a little too much depth for the internet: I was about to start my degree but I was depressed, reclusive, shy, and lacking in self-confidence.

Fortunately I am no longer these things, and whilst I may not be the most confident I am a much happier nowadays. Apart from my need for a new job life is pretty darn good at the moment.

Same exact place I am right now, lol. Well, minus the fact that I hadn't quite yet escaped my boomerang status after college, but it wasn't but a few months that I finally got back outta my folk's place and into this apartment. Which between kitty attack dogs and black widows, is becoming downright hostile and I likely will not be in the same place this time next year.

Cheap apartments. You get what you pay for...

Three years ago? I was living in an other part of the country doing a somewhat similar job to what I am doing now. Back then though, my squadron was busy with work-up training to support the security operations at the Vancouver Winter Olympics... good times.

I was naively entering a college program that tricked me into thinking it was credible. Man I would seriously love to go tell myself just to go elsewhere.

I wasn't a member 3 years ago. I was also in highschool 3 years ago. A lot has changed; I've become more engrained in gaming culture and the community, made a videos and matured a lot.

Damn, now I feel old. And I'm only 18.

Out of shape, obsessive WoW player with little social life and almost no friends. I wasn't overweight, but I was extremely weak and would tire out after jogging for less than one minute. I got good grades, but I was a bastard, annoying and teasing other classmates constantly and making no friends, in fact losing a few. It got so bad that the teachers were forced to move me to a desk away from the other students. Lots of "Oh god why" moments. I've since picked up lots of physical activities such as MMA, swimming, jogging, weightlifting, and the YMCA, and have practically reversed my attitude.

Three years ago, I was in year 12. I'd just gotten a PS3, right about the time I should have started studying for exams. Good times :)

I was just starting on my last semester of grad school, and just starting on my master's thesis and trying to get an art portfolio together.

I never thought I'd still be in Plano, Texas after coming here for school, but here I am. 0:

Three years ago I would have just gotten my GCSE grades, and been mostly pleased with them. I'd also have just gone on holiday with a group of friends which included the girl I fancied, who would later become my girlfriend.

I joined a little over 3 years ago as well. At the time, I was living with some irate and hostile roommates to get myself away from my previously irate and hostile roommates. Thankfully 2 years ago I was able to pull myself away and 18 months ago I was able to pull myself out of my depression (not permanently, but to a large degree).

So I guess I joined the escapist during a bad time, but the site kept me going. Still does. Thanks!

Three years ago I was a miserable person, eternally pessimistic and led a life fraught with disappointment and dissatisfaction. I made a last ditch effort to turn things around by going after a good job. I beat over 100 applicants in a time of real economic uncertainty and begun working the most "successful" job of my career. A catering manager for Marks and Spencer with a decent wage. Then I watched Firefly and went through a stage of questioning my self worth. So I quit the job ( I hated it) and formed a new band and was able to make a livable wage off of that.

I eventually found part time work and begun studying at college again. After a brief stint at a zoo I'm currently preparing to start university to study Zoology and Microbiology at the ripe age of 25...

And I can't wait :D

There's been ups and downs along the way. Having been single, nearly 4 years after some long but bad relationships I also had to endure 3 long sexless years... Yeah, that's character building stuff. I got to work with elephants, rock the fuck out and get paid for it, fly across the world and witness my best friend's marriage, ending the sexless period (thank god). Just yesterday I got to say hello to my 6 hour old niece, which was amazing.

I'm a much happier person now and feel like the future gets a little brighter everyday.

Well, I was on my summer holidays, waiting for my last year of High School to begin. I was still in the same town. I joined this site, didn't have a car and was far less affluent. I'd like to think I've evolved since then but inside I feel much the same that I did then.
