I heard it has a rich history of music. Perfect for a Fallout game. Sounds like it would be a good setting.

I said it the first time posted this thread and I'll say it the next twenty. NEW YORK! Only because it would pretty cool having to navigate such a complex city in a post Great War city.

I have previously said that it should be set in Alaska, but if not there, I think it should be set in my home country: CANADA!

Well, logically it would be set in say... Texas. This is mainly because each one references the squeal, and is somewhere that they have yet to be. Saying that I would like to see the UK, but we all know that wont happen.

If you look into the Lore, there are TONS of really good settings you can choose from. The Tennessee Valley was untouched in terms of when the bombs fell. Everything would be green and radiation free, more or less that is. You'd still have the dilapidated building and destroyed landmarks just from it being centuries without any kind of upkeep.

I think somewhere along the southern Mississippi would open up a lot of biological/ecological diversity. You could even set it a few centuries after Fallout 3 allowing vegetation to return, or perhaps vast stretches of mutated fungi. Overgrown mushrooms everywhere will feed the longing so many Bethesda fans have had to return to Morrowind.

All that I'm saying is that perhaps they should take a few years on this one and build something more striking than a desert/tundra.

Pacific Northwest has my bet, the expansion for 3 with the swampy area ruled out the South East and everglades for me (though a flooded New Orlens could be fun to explorer but Katrina is probably still to recent to get away with that though...)

The Last two games have however centered around very iconic towns DC, and Las Vegas, so maybe Seattle or New York. I'd say LA but the NCR has that area covered.

I'll go with Seattle for my final answer.

I think this thread has been done already, though it's not out of the question that I'm mistaken. Being from the Boston area, I would love to see it set in Massachusetts, or as it's known in the Fallout universe, "The Commonwealth". I honestly just think it would be cool to see a post-apocalyptic Boston/Cambridge.

East and West Coast have been covered in 3 and New Vegas. Where should #4 sit? I kinda want it to be set in the north, maybe along the border between the States and annexed Canada. I wonder what sort of Canadian stereotypes would exist in the 2280s.
They could call back to the commonwealth and those androids.

Since my personal desire for a China based fallout probably wont happen, let's go for the gulf. Maybe have something with the Cubans. Work in some marshland; it could be dried up or something.

Well, if Ulysses was right, the NCR would have overextended itself after FONV and would have imploded(that's if you didn't nuke them). Technically, an L.A. based Fallout isn't impossible.

Why not New York City? I think a post apocalyptic mega-city would be amazing to explore.
This was my thought exactly, as much as I love the big open wasteland, it would be really cool to have a large area where you're in tight alleys and streets where deathclaws and super mutants are in a claustrophobic distance. Also the altitude changes would be nice, climbing mouths is cool with the occasional tall building, but in new york you would have sky scrapers, imagine looking at the new york wasteland from 80 stories up a building.

It would be pretty cool even if like the streets where so overrun with nuclear waste and baddies, that the population just took to living in the buildings, and they had large bridges going from building to building like a giant tree house kind of.

It would be nice to have Pittsburgh back as part of the wasteland, hell I'd even opt for just a Pittsburgh centered game, instead of New York City.

Of course that's because I'm FROM Pittsburgh so the Pitt was awesome to play, and recognize land marks and stuff. it be cool to have even more of the city to walk around in, geographically I'd be an interesting place with north side and south side on each side of the river and downtown right in the center of the three rivers.

That'd be pretty friggin sweet.

Personally i would like to see it set in en England/Scotland, there's something about the idea of blowing a mutated Scottish highlander that appeals to me...And London would be a good setting, think of the traditional London mist...then picture it in a steampunk, post apocalyptic world with mutants shambling through the fog.
